I was a prosecuting attorney for 30 years in Camden County N.J.where I handled literally thousands of cases including 25 murder trials.I worked in criminal defense for six years in the firm of Helmer, Conley, Paul, and Kasselman in Haddon Heights and now I am currently semi-retired. I know both sides of the criminal system and respect the roles both play.
Before law school, I taught at both Glen Ridge High School(alma mater of Tom Cruise) and Cherry Hill East(alma mater of Orel Hersheiser)in NJ. from 1967-1970.
This is my first novel and it combines my love of baseball and my passion for the criminal legal process.
I spend my time with my wife Robin in NJ and Sarasota Florida.
I hope you will support me and other self-published authors by buying our books.

Wade Peterson and I just published our collection of short stories, Black Coffee Fiction,at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Black-Coffee-Fi...

Our stories were compiled from our blog Black Coffee Fiction http://blackcoffeefiction.blogspot.com

We meet at the Copper Rock North in Appleton WI to talk about writing. We publish a short story every Friday. Lately we've been joined by a third writer, Bettyann Moore.

My specialty, in keeping with the season, is seriously depressing Christmas stories for those who really hate this time of year. I'm told I have a warped mind, which I take as a compliment.

Irma Fritz | 23 comments In keeping with the holiday theme that some of you started, I have a New Year's resolution: Never again try to publish a book over the holidays. In between cooking, cleaning, lunches & dinners & other holiday festivities, this year I proofed the 420 pages of the paperback version of my new novel, Confessions of a Predatory Lender. It left me frazzled but it got done. And just yesterday I received my very first review. Here's a quick quote: "The book is hilarious, uncomfortable, sad, and always fully engaging."
Question to other authors -- is a first review like a first kiss?

Sybil Watters (sybilwatters) | 1 comments I am the daughter of fresh-off-the-boat Swiss immigrants, Okie by birth. I wound up in the Deep South after a miserable ten year stint in the law, having sensed my creativity was all but drained via court sponsored blood-letting. I successfully escaped from the legal profession and into anything and everything that captured my interest. Long since intrigued by the pre-Honey Boo Boo sense of down home, backwoods, honky-tonkin’, redneckin’ ways I observed in the outskirts of Oklahoma, I began putting pen to paper on the tall tales from the parts of Georgia where I found myself.

I would LOVE for everyone to read the Prologue to my first novel (not yet published) here on goodreads. Give me a thumbs up or comments of you enjoy!

Charles (the_third) | 1 comments My name is Charles, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Now living in Boise, ID for college. My major is Psychology. Originally I started writing a script for an autobiographical movie, but the idea later evolved into a fiction novel in which the main character is loosely based on my personality. The book is called 'Into A Liquor Store'. Feedback would be awesome. Visit my profile to read the first 2 chapters.

Chris Mascaro I'm Chris, and I am currently a new author in the romance, or western cowboy romance area. I have one small novelette out on Amazon, and I'm getting ready to release #2 and hopefully the 3rd installment out by June.

I have another YA series very similar to Jason Bourne, that is in editing/beta reader mode. I hope to have that out this summer as well.

In the long run, there are several series books to be coming out, and I am always on the market looking for beta readers, and proof readers!

Otessa | 4 comments Hi!

My name is Otessa, and I'm an indie author and creator of the viral, award-winning web series "Orange Juice in Bishop's Garden." OJBG is a web series where naive and rebellious teens grow up, get down, and come out during the '90s grunge-era. Think underage tomfoolery, Doc Martens, raves, the invincibility of youth, and epic first loves. The show follows a group of teenagers in DC as they try to navigate life at the cusp of the internet-era. OJBG presents an honest and diverse portrayal of American teen life during adolescence, and gives a voice to LGBTQ identities everywhere.

I'm currently hosting a Goodreads giveaway for the Director's Notebook for season 5. If you would like to read the scripts of prior seasons, please message me, and I will send you a copy of the e-book.

Thank you for your support!

I was born in Neenah, WI and raised in Eau Claire. Later I moved to Duluth, MN to attend college. I switched majors often, studying everything from Anthropology to Art History. Eventually I dropped out. In the past I've worked as a custodian, an exotic dancer, a grocery bagger, and a receptionist. Admittedly I'm a bit of a workaholic. My leftist political leanings are often reflected in the content of my writings, but my faith is strictly Catholic.

I am the author of several books which are available for free at Smashwords:
