I am still all about team Jackson as well! I swore that I will clear his name! Lol

I think H.D. is so cool and she would probably be an author I would recognize if I ever saw her around....I see plenty of authors and I'm like who are you and what book did you write? Lol that sounded so rude haha

I've been to multiple book signings and such, so I would probably recognize her and other favorite authors... but with the exception of author friends here on GR, I would probably just be another 'faceless' and 'nameless' face to them.

I even talked to Anne Rice's personal secretary in high school... kinda scared them that a high school kid got ahold of their personal number... but did Anne remember about the incident just a year later at a book signing? No. You'd think a 15/16 year old student from TX getting a 'private' number would be memorable

Woah, that is stalker status! Lol yeah I would know H.D, Tahereh Mafia, and laini Taylor because she has pink hair and who would miss that? I met Maggie steivpher once and my friend was like thats Maggie steivpher and I was like what! I totally talked to her for a second like she was a normal person (which she sorta is) lol.


Anyways, how in the hell did you get Ann rices number ?

Well, we had to do a paper on ANYTHING we wanted (so I chose Vampires) BUT we HAD to include an interview in our paper. So, since I couldn't find any vampires... I figured, "Let's call Anne Rice!"

Well, I called New Orleans directory assistance, this was around 1992/1993, asked for Anne Rice- unlisted number. So, I tried again, but instead asked for Stan Rice (since she always included his poems and stuff) ... I figured it couldn't hurt to try. It was listed. So I called, got a female on the line and said, "Can I talk to Anne Rice?"

The female that answered was ALL defensive, "Who are you and how did you get this number?"

I explained who I was and why I was calling and how I got the number. She put me on hold to go talk to Anne, but she was too busy working on her next book. So the assistant spoke with me and tried to answer my questions. I'm fairly certain they unlisted the number (via Stan's name) as soon as I got off the phone with her

Sorry, I couldn't go. Wanted to so badly, but money, gas, and logistics with the kids and my husband's work schedule did not intersect.

But I've already warned my husband about the Kim Harrison signing at Bookpeople.

Yeah, I just bought her book a few days ago because I heard shes coming soon! I havent read anything by her :/

Oh I love Rachel! That series was up and down for me. The first book was hard to get through for me. But after the last few a am a huge fan of that series!

So what did you guys think about the series ending? Did you see it coming or were you blind sided?
