My 2nd favorite Steel book. set aboard the Titanic, Steel's vision comes to life. Written and read my yours truly before the movie ever came out, i could picture myself on that ship in the vast dining room see the china on the tables, the rooms full of well-dressed people on the adventure of thier lives. This book, more than any others of hers, shaped my own writing . I wanted my reader to see and feel what I saw and felt. I used this book as an example of the writing style I wanted to perfect to my college instructors. It was that instrumental.
