Blaide stretched his arms above his head and then cracked his knuckles. He looked around at his competition with intense green eyes.

Blaide looked around quietly before heading to hand to hand combat. He thought that it would make a good warm up.
Blaide raised an eyebrow at the new girl. "Um..." He didn't really know what to do about the awkward situation. When she walked away, Blaide wasn't at all disappointed and continued forward to the hand to hand combat station where he started out with a punching bag.
Blaide kept hitting the punching bag with quick, deliberate jabs. His mind began to wander, thinking back to District 1 and his family... Especially Sunny. His brow furrowed slightly and he paused, closing his eyes a moment. He shook his head and then gave a hard round house kick to the back, knocking it over on its side easily. He looked at it a moment and then turned around, deciding to go somewhere else. He froze when he noticed a girl staring at him from across the room.
Blaide watched Norah and the girl who had confused him earlier for a moment. He smiled a little to himself and then walked toward the two of them and the mind game station. He had always been pretty good at mind games and tricks.
Blaide looked down at Norah with a soft, charming smile. "Yes I am," He answered. "And you... Norah?" He raised an eyebrow slightly with a tiny tilt of his head.
Blaide watched her carefully for a moment and then turned his attention to the station. "Done this one yet?" He asked.
Blaide looked over at the girl who had weirded him out earlier. "Hi," he said simply and then walked forward to the mind game. He moved someone to the side. "I'll be quick, don't worry. There will be plenty of time for you in a minute," he told the tribute he moved aside. And just like he had boasted, he finished the mind game, finding all 40 very quickly.
Blaide turned and looked at her, unimpressed. "Does it look like I care?" He asked with a shrug. "Besides, it was easy, so I took my time." He smiled lightly and then looked back at Norah. "Need help with it?" He asked, following up on her comment from before.
Blaide looked back to Abigail and plain out laughed. "Yeah sure, because I'm going to have so many issues in these Games. Okay," he smiled and shook his head, "Besides, I don't need to scare anyone." He chuckled, turning his back to Norah and facing Norah. He shrugged. "You might have to search for things, you never really know what you're going to be faced with, you know," he watched her carefully, seeing how nervous she looked, "I could help you with other things, too." He decided that this girl might make a good ally. Since she was from one of the rougher Districts, she could know how to survive a little better that he would.
Blaide glanced at Abigail with a raised eyebrow and looked back at Norah. "Go ahead and talk to this... ally." He said with a deliberate pause. "I'll just actually use my time here in a useful way." He walked passed Norah to a weapon's station and gave her a pat on the shoulder as he walked by.
Blaide stopped, a sly smile growing on his face, but it was gone once he turned to look at Norah again. He raised an eyebrow slightly at her.
((I will brb. I must wash the dishes (by hand :P ) Don't do too much!))
Blaide gestured toward the station behind him. "Come over here," he said, watching Norah closely with his green eyes.
Blaide smiled lightly and walked over to the station, picking up hatchet. He examined it while he talked, "So, you're thinking about taking Abigail as an ally?" He glanced at Nora and turned to one of the dummies that was a good 20 feet away and threw the hatchet. It hit the dummy right in the face, sinking its blade into it.
Blaide turned to look at Norah and tilted his head slightly. Abigail really would be a good ally... but her attitude left something to be desired. "I don't particularly like her either..." He muttered and then let himself smile a little when Norah said she'd rather have him.
When Norah threw the hatchet, his eyebrows went up a little. "Nice," he said, nodding a little.
When Norah threw the hatchet, his eyebrows went up a little. "Nice," he said, nodding a little.
Blaide shrugged slightly and picked up a sword. He gave it a good twirl.
((brb again. Need to take my dog out for about 10 min. Also, I will be gone most of the night. family is coming over.))
Blaide looked over at Abigail and glanced at Norah. He wasn't really happy about maybe having Abigail as an ally, but it would an extremely good alliance. He sighed and followed her. "Abigail." He said, stepping in front of her. "Us three being allies would probably be our best bet for surviving to at least the top ten." He watched her closely.
((g2g. might be on late tonight))
((g2g. might be on late tonight))
Blaide followed Abigail and set the sword back in its place before grabbing some throwing knives for himself. "I'm being serious," he glanced at her before throwing a knife, hitting a dummy where its heart should be. "I know I didn't come off as a nice person," he said, "but then again, there isn't a point in being nice here." He let out a small sigh. "I honestly do think that we three would make a good team if we could try to get along."
"I just told you," Blaide said, getting a little irritated, but keeping it out of his tone, "we could at least make it to the top ten if we worked together. It wouldn't be that hard. We're all really good at at least one thing and we're from three completely different Districts, so the talents could work to our advantage, no matter what we might find out there." He threw another knife and then stopped to look at Abigail.
Blaide smiled a little, "Thank you. I'm going to talk to Norah," he said and then headed over to where Norah was.
Blaide stood next to Norah for a moment, throwing some knives at the dummies before turning to the swords again. He picked up a fairly large one that probably would have been too heavy for Norah. He turned and went to a closer dummy, practicing some swings and his forms.
((g2g for a bit. going shopping :3 ))
Blaide let himself go a little, his mind going a little blank. He didn't want to think about the games, to be honest. He didn't even want to think about his family. His parents just made him angry and thinking of Sunny made him sad.
Blaide took one more swing, the sword embedding into the dummy's neck a few good inches. He blinked and let go of the handle, glancing around, feeling slightly embarrassed. He tugged on the sword a few times but it didn't come out of the dummy. He stood there a moment and then shrugged, heading to another station.
Blaide came up behind Norah, catching the last bit about the deer with the cross on its back. He paused and then put a hand on her shoulder. "Got it down?" He asked with a small smile and then turned his attention to the trainer.
Blaide laughed a little at himself. "Using some swords," he said and pointed to the dummy with a blade embedded into its neck. "Got a little carried away." He said, though he didn't mention why.
Blaide nodded slightly, a little proud of his own strength. He turned back to the station they were at. "Learn anything particularly useful?" He asked.
Blaide smiled a little. He knew about plants, but it would be nice if someone else in his alliance also knew a little something. "Good," he said and then looked around. "Oh, crossbows..." He muttered when his eyes landed on the ranged section.
Blaide looked at Norah with a slightly goofy smile. "Want to go shoot 'em?" He asked.
Blaide looked over at the station. "You don't want to learn?" He asked. Crossbows were awesome. They're better than bows, stronger, faster, but they took longer to load. But they were as close to a gun as you would get in the Arena.
"Come on," Blaide walked over to the station and grabbed a crossbow. He loaded it easily and then handed one over to Norah.
Blaide glanced at Abigail and tossed her one. "Well yeah," he said and then raised his crossbow, aiming. He took a few breaths, letting the last one drag out to relax and shot, hitting right in the middle of the target on the dummy's chest.
Blaide looked over at Norah and set down his crossbow. He stood behind her and held her wrists. "Let me help you," he said and helped her through the motions of loading the crossbow and lifting it to aim it.
Blaide smiled at Norah. "I just helped," he said and then glanced at the dummy. He walked over and took out the bolt and walked back to Norah. "Now by yourself."
Blaide watched closely. He grinned when she hit on target and laughed at her reaction to her slight victory. "Good job," he said.
Blaide looked over at the target. The bolt had landed a few inches below the center of the target. "Definitely," he said with a nod, "would have hit them right in the stomach."
Blaide glanced at Abigail, trying not to laugh himself. He patted Norah on the shoulder. "You'll be okay," he said.
Blaide just watched Abigail, an eyebrow raised. He turned his eyes to Norah again. His smile faded when he saw her covering her face. "Norah..." He said quietly. Making sure the people around them couldn't hear, he leaned forward. "I wasn't meaning to be rude when I was laughing.
Blaide stood up straight and sighed. He watched Norah walk away and then turned headed toward the climbing station.
Blaide looked up at Wolf from his place at the base of the climbing station. He blinked, watched the boy struggle a little.
Blaide didn't notice Norah go under the net. He saw the boy loose his grip and then begin to fall. He wasn't fast enough to get to him. Suddenly, Norah was right there underneath him and they fell on the ground with a large thud. His eyes widened and he rushed over.
Blaide helped the boy off of Norah and then held out a hand for her. "You okay?" He asked.
Blaide put his hands on her shoulders to help her keep steady. "Did you hit your head or anything?" He asked, looking her over.
Lindsey, being shy and all, had stayed in a corner kinda by herself. But now seeing someone need help, she rushed over to see if she could help with anything.
