((Role play))

Emma walks in and feels the trees around her. she finds a rock and sits down. Emma starts to sing softly not wanting poeple to hear.

Alice comes out from behind the tree. "You have a beautiful voice," she says, startling Emma.

"Oh..Oh.." Emma says startled. "Thanks...i didnt think anyone came this far back into the woods.."

"I do all the time," Alice says.

"Oh. Well thanks." Emma smiles a soft smile, almost fake, but a smile

The sunlight rested at a glinting slant across the horizon, sparking rays of sunlight through the green crested treetops. Everything shimmered in hazy, golden light throughout the woods.
A white bunny jumped through the underbrush. A cricket jumped through the thick grass. A fawn and a doe protectively snuck through the shadows at the edge of the clearing. Tiny birds flitted through the treetops, little colorful blurs through the greenery.

"You seem so sad all the time. Are you okay?" Asks Alice. "I worry about you. You're my best friend."

"Really? I-I'm- I'm anorexic. And a bit depressed. But not a lot. Do you know what anorexia is?"

"Yeah, it's when you don't want to eat because you constantly worry about your weight. That's what Karen Carpenter the singer died of."

"Ya.. I guess you don't want to hang around me anymore."

"I do. I'm just sad for you. But remember I'm right next door if you ever need anything," said Alice sadly.

"I'm glad ur here" Emma hugs Alice.

Alice cries.

"I'm going to go home now," says Alice through her tears. "Come over when ever you need to."

"Alice... What wrong? Please don't be sad. It's not a big deal."

"I'm just worried about you! You're anorexic and depressed!"

"I'm not depressed! A lot. Only on the really bad days which isn't often especially since I moved here! And I'm anorexic but it isn't a big deal."

"Okay. I'll see you later."

"Wait. Please don't freak out. Please. Your like my only friend."

"I'm not freaking, I just need to get home."

"Okay...bye."

"Bye."

Shay walks through the woods. The sun shines and a wind got up. Shay sits down in front of a oak. She thinks about her life and almost falls asleep it's so quiet here. She feels alone.

Emma walks up and sits next to the girl.

"hey. I don't know you but you seem nice. I'm Shay." she smiles.

"Hello I'm Emma."

"What brings you here?" she leans back and look at the nice girl.

"I don't know. I like hese woods. I can get away from everything."

"Hey Emma!" Says Alice. She looks at the girl sitting with her friend. "What's your name? I'm Alice."

"hey nice to meet you. My name is Shay."

"Nice to meet you too, Shay. Are you new here or have you lived here a while? I don't remember seeing you before."

"I am new but this city is beautiful. And I like the woods very much. "

"They are cool, huh? Emma and I just moved here and are living in the city apartments. The apartment right next to mine's open if you are interested."

"yeah thanks. I'm interested." Shay smiles and yawns. "I'm tired. I think I go to my new apartment. Do you come with me?"

Shay walks toward the city apartments and smiles.

"Sure. I'm heading that way."
