Trey realised he'd forgotten his shirt the moment he walked into class, late again. He slipped into a chair silently, pretending not to notice the girls surrounding him as soon as he sat down. He muttered under his breath, cursing the fact he had drama for two whole lessons today. He sighed.
Nicole didn't feel that she had any particular feelings towards the host club, in fact she felt she was rather indifferent to it. No matter how indifferent a girl is though there isn't even a slim chance that once she sees a handsome boy walk into class without a shirt on she can control her feelings. Nicole looked away and tried to pretend she wasn't blushing profusely at the boy next to her, it wasn't hard to do because all the other girls in the class were making such a commotion it was hard to notice anything else.
Trey shooed the girls away and sighed heavily. "Dear chocolate fishes!" he said in exasperation, throwing his hands in the air. Then he noticed Nicole, and her red face. "Are you alright?" he asked as he buttoned his jacket.
Nicole managed to get her blush under control and cleared her throat, "oh yes, I'm fine". She frowned and cocked her head to the side, "what was that about chocolate fish?"
Trey smiled, and the air around him began to shine brightly. "It's my own person curse. Have I seen you around? What's your name?" he said, pleased that someone had asked him. He tapped his hands on the desk t some unknown beat only he could hear, as he chatted to Nicole.
Nicole was confused but smiled anyway. Trey was kinda weird but he also seemed innocent in a way. "I'm Nicole and yeah you've probably seen me around, we have some classes together." She wondered if she should resent him for not remembering her but she couldn't find it in herself to be angry. "I'm a little surprised your fan girls are giving you some quiet time." She said wryly.
"They do as I tell them. I could become an evil lord and use them as my minions if I wished it to be so" he replied nonchalantly. He put his hands behind his head and leaned back in his chair.
Nicole giggled, thinking he was kidding. She imagined him shirtless, commanding the group of almost drooling girls as he tried to take over the world. The notion was hilarious and she had to take deep breaths to keep from hyperventilating. "You're funny." She said once she calmed down. Her lips twitched as she tried to think of something to say since talking to guys wasn't something she made a habit of. "Do you like acting?" She finally asked lamely.
"I do like acting, yes, my fair princess" he replied, winking at her. Being charming was almost a bad habit these days. He tilted his head back so he was looking at the ceiling. "And yes, I am funny, aren't I? I'm positively hilarious" Although he was speaking calmly, he was caught up in memories, looking almost vulnerable as he gazed up at the ceiling still.
Nicole didn't say anything, sensing he wouldn't pay attention even if she did. He looked like he was caught in some unpleasant memories and she felt like the best thing to do was say nothing. Nicole leaned over and put her hand over his, hoping to comfort him.
Despite his trip down memory lane, Trey snapped back to reality as soon as her hand touched his. He smiled, sparkles floating around him as he leaned towards her. It was almost natural now; he was a host and that's how he acted.
Nicole sensed a change in him almost immediately and shifted back, feeling uncomfortable. Her brow crinkled as she studied him, there was something wrong about his expression but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She looked away for a moment and noticed some girls glaring at her and her shoulders slumped. This would no doubt encourage more harassment. She looked at Trey and bit her lip, "you should probably go talk to those girls over there before they come over here and decide to take a chunk outta me." She sighed wearily and nodded towards the group of girls.
"But I don't want to. You're far more interesting than those plain, ordinary girls" he said with a sly grin. His dark brown eyes looked at the girls glaring and blew a kiss to them, rendering them useless for a few hours. Then he turned his attention back to Nicole.
Nicole's eyes narrowed and she shoved her chair back abruptly. "You can put on a show for everyone else here if you want but class is almost over and I'm going to the garden. Feel free to join me or don't." She said, feeling slightly used. She should have known he was just playing a part, it was drama class after all.
Trey blinked once. He wasn't sure what to say. Girls started to swarm him but he stood silently and walked out of the room, deep in thought. What was up with this girl? And...why did he want to go to the garden? He turned abruptly and went out to the garden.
