Needs to be changed to what, and why?
I changed the title and the cover art. I'd like the new cover up. I don't have a website. If we can't use Amazon, how do I get the new one on Goodreads?
A.w. wrote: "I changed the title and the cover art. I'd like the new cover up. I don't have a website. If we can't use Amazon, how do I get the new one on Goodreads?"Is this the Matt Campbell fairy on a finger? What is the new title?
I've reversed the title change you did on the existing book. That isn't allowed.Alternate cover/title edition created
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...
Existing book covers and titles don't get changed (well, typos can be corrected or better quality file of exact same image) because a goodreads member will have shelved the old edition already. As an author, you can make the newer alternate cover edition the default one (meaning shows in most lists from searches, looking at your author page, etc. that most members who have not already shelved your book will see), if that helps.
A.w. wrote: "Thanks for creating the new edition. Will that replace the old on my dashboard?"I think if you select it as default edition it will (not sure as that's a new feature for authors and I've never even seen screenshots of how that works since I am not an author ). Default edition will be what goodreads members browsing around will see unless they searched by something isbn-specific.
Oops, I'm saying "default edition" and looks like official wording is "primary edition" - the only official info I know is at http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... (Doesn't mean more info isn't out there or that more details weren't sent out to authors, just that it's the link I know).
So how do I go about creating an alternate cover edition as was described above. I need to do this as well if someone could get me pointed in the right direction I'll be happy to take care of it! Thanks!John

I just joined Goodreads as an author and I also have a new book cover. How do I go about displaying the newer alternate cover edition since it is not possible to replace the cover entirely? Thank you.
How can I improve the reproduction quality of my cover art? it was taken from my website, but appears much darker on Goodreads.
S.W. wrote: "How can I improve the reproduction quality of my cover art? it was taken from my website, but appears much darker on Goodreads."Which book?

Sorry--Another Man's Treasure
S.W. wrote: "How can I improve the reproduction quality of my cover art? it was taken from my website, but appears much darker on Goodreads."If you mean this image from your website:
http://www.swhubbard.net/Library/AMTC...
it appears to be pretty much identical to the Goodreads import
http://d.gr-assets.com/books/13521247...
the GR version is a smaller file but apart from that...

I don't know what you did, but it now looks a whole lot better--it was practically black yesterday!
How Can I make a new cover the default cover (as someone has mentioned above). My old cover completely doesn't match the series for the first book. There are hundreds of new ones being sold vs only a hand full of the old one eight months ago. I think readers may be confused if the new cover is not the default. It's for title: Marked: A Two Halves Novella.Thank you!
Marta Szemik
(this is the old cover)

The page won't let me edit it and it needs to be changed.
Thank you.
