message 1: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) This has to do with the series I'm writing, in which there are 1,000 different dimensions. 997 of them are filled with magic. Any magical creatures can be here, but steer clear of Mortals (humans) in the third dimension. If you're evil, then if they see you then they will believe in the Almighty and harm negative energy. If you are Righteous, showing yourself will drag the mortals into this war. If you just want peace, then it will erupt into another war, and if you're a mercenary, then you're making your hirers angry.

message 2: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) A hardened warrior, withdrawn and alone, was wandering. In one hand, he held a Scottish blade, covered and filled with invisible enchantments that made it indestructible and able to carry magical current. Tucked under his left arm, a thick journal filled from back to front with his father's magical and scientific discoveries. His brown leather jacket looked completely natural despite being filled with over fifty weapons. As he wandered, he came across two humanoids. Possibly hostile.

message 3: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) Fredrick had not cared about the other two travellers, but at the sudden movement his blade was pointing, perfectly balanced, at the other man's throat.

message 4: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) ((Sword.))
Fredrick looked between them, quickly discovering that they were not evil. Sadly, with one burning green eye and another brown eye, looked more evil. He advanced, leading with a lunge specifically designed to throw the enemy off-balance.

message 5: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) Fredrick barely moved, but the knives soared past his ears harmlessly. He jerked the handle of his sword into the handle of Tondo's knife and sent it clattering aside. He then took a single step back, out of range of a slash from the other knife. Having done this, he kicked the knife farther away without turning his back on Tondo.

message 6: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) Fredrick cautiously moved in, striking at his veins, his nerve points, his throat, and his vital organs.

message 7: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) That was right about the time when th ground beneath them rumbled, and they had to leap aside before the giant worm's head bursted out of the ssnd, writhing in its attempts to devour them all in its giant mouth.
"Fought this kind of thing before?" Fredrick asked in a cold, indifferent tone.

message 8: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) Fredrick resisted the urge to speak in a sarcastic tone. "The reason I asked was because killing them while they're still in the ground allows others to notice them. Another reason was that this one was tiny, obviously just a baby, and you probably just made its parents very angry."
Rule number one: Know your enemy.

message 9: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) ((Oh, and I don't think worms have eyes.))
Deciding right then to just let the fool die, he turned away and began a long trek away, probably right about when something roughly the size of Alaska pushed its head above the soil. The father. And then, something closer to the size of Greenland. The mother.

message 10: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) ((Just looked it up. Worms don't have eyes or brains.))

Julia skipped along and heard loud noises. She saw two people running away from two giant worms. She geussed she should run too so she did (XD there we go)

message 13: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) The worms were making some sound... a calling. The ground began to rumble, and more and more rose, surrounding the tree. And out of the ground... came fire. A harsh, hellish flame that was terrible to behold with an unwelcoming heat. The worms writhed. The closest to it dried up and died right there. The rest ate their way through the soil and fleed.

Out of the ground where the fire had come from, Fredrick arose. "Ever walked on the sidewalk and see a worm that dried up in the heat? Same concept." Then he turned away from them like they didn't matter. Again.

message 14: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) ((He attracted the parents, not Fredrick. Just saying. And he's not stuck up, he's gone through a detailed analysis and decided that they were neither enemies nor allies worth having. In that sense, they actually didn't matter.))
