January- I am so pleased with the start I have and I had a variety of reactions to what I read while finding many new to me authors to love- all in my own book pile. ;)I'm at 28/75 for my goal. Woohoo!

How fun, Daphne! To friend someone, you just go to their page (click on my name in the header of my reply to get to my page) and hit the friend request off to the left under the picture of Jane Austen I use for my thumbnail picture. Reading is the great leveler when it comes to age so chronological age means nothing on Goodreads. ;)
I've put in a request.Ive never reall yearned to visit Us but yes where you live,CapeCod and Santa Fe would be lovely. We also have same interests although gardening for me is in tubs now but I love visiting gardens. When I stay with my brother in Norfolk or a friend in Somerset we usually find at least one to visit.

I'm a huge Jane Austen fan along with several other British authors so I've always had a dream of seeing some of the places about which they've written.
Oh yes, gardens! I've heard Somerset is one of the garden counties. We do have some lovely gardens around here particularly the ones the universities tend.
I haven't received notification of your friend request yet, but if it doesn't arrive by the evening I'll try friending you instead.
Happy reading!

For March, I slacked off a bit on the TBR and was naughty by getting a few new ones (but to my credit, I've read them). ;DAnyway, here's what I have for this month toward the goal 54/75

Speaking of being impressed, you are the challenge lady, aren't you? I'm rooting for you to finish all the challenges you set up for this year.

I will never get caught up on my TBR pile. There are just too many! I swear they are multiplying :)

This next month I won't make much of a dent in my pile because I had so many review requests come in at the blog and author guests that I'll be reading those new ones primarily. At least it wasn't me buying the books though since these are review copies (one small saving grace). ;D
Hello to Sophia and Daphne! I'm in at least 44 reading challenges, so I think I might be considered challenge lady as well. :) Sophia, I feel the same joy about discovering authors in my very own pile. I invite everyone to my thread in level 4 "Carolyn Buys Books Like The Wind", in which I show a picture of the BUILDING we made into a library!Daphne, I had the pleasure of your country recently (Somerset, Essex, Midlands, all the way to Scotland and everywhere in between). I'm a Canadian gardener who shall start soon; despite snow being on the ground as we speak - late this year indeed. My perrennials have begun to rise and the last winter birds left yesterday (red poles), so we must be ready to melt.
With the beginning of Summer, I am happy to say I've finished my goal and now I'll just keep pressing on.Goal: 75/75
Is it really the end of August? I guess I must trust my calendar. Here are my new adds for August:Goal: 81/75
Back to School and back to the crisp fall nights! Yum!I didn't get much done for the challenge this month, but here's what I've got.
Goal: 83/75
