Caz (caz963) | 13 comments I'm starting with a modest goal. My Reading Challenge goal for 2012 was 100 books - I've just passed that, but I'm not sure how much reading time I'll have in 2013, as one of the things I have to do is get a new job!

I have no idea yet what I'm going to read. I'll have to start wading through my TBR list.

Misfit | 45 comments Welcome aboard. The hardest thing for me wasn't the # books, but that those books had to have been acquired prior to 2012.

Rio (Lynne) | 13 comments I agree Misfit. Good luck job hunting Caz!

Thanks! Fortunately, the majority of the books on my TBR list are oldies!

Gloria Green Going to give it another shot for 2013. "Life" got in the way during 2012, but I'm determined to make 2013 the Year of My Big Reading! The chosen level for me is Mt. Vancouver.

Caz (caz963) | 13 comments As of 1st Jan 2013, here are my first ten titles, in no particular order:

1. Black Madonna by Stella Riley
2. An Improper Widow by Kate Moore
3. The Counterfeit Husband by Elizabeth Mansfield
4. Instruments of Darkness by Imogen Robertson
5. The Nobody by Diane Farr
6. The Lady's Companion by Carla Kelly
7. Friends and Foes by Sarah M. Eden
8. The Town House by Norah Lofts
9. The Duchess War by Courtney Milan - audio
10. The Dark Queen by Susan Carroll

I'll come back and add to the list when I've thought about it some more.

Misfit | 45 comments Black Madonna is so good. Can't wait to see that out on e-book.

I am reliably informed that work on the ebook version has started :-)

I was given a dead-tree copy for Christmas - which I'm "saving up" to read when I can get a good long run at it without too many distractions in the way.

Rio (Lynne) | 13 comments I surprisingly liked The Dark Queen. I'm 3 down in that series. 3 to go.

message 10: by Caz (new)

Caz (caz963) | 13 comments As was, I suppose, predictable, my first read from my Mt TBR wasn't on my first ten list, but was instead Miss Jacobson's Journey (Rothschild Trilogy, #1) by Carola Dunn

Oh, well. But at least it's a start!

Caz (caz963) | 13 comments 2 down, 34 to go! A slow start, I know, but I'll get there.

Just finished The Black Madonna (Civil War, #1) by Stella Riley , which was absolutely superb.

Caz (caz963) | 13 comments And another one crossed off the list -
The Lady's Companion by Carla Kelly .
I've made myself a Mt TBR shelf now and have been lobbing unread books on that I've had kicking around for ages. So at least I won't be wasting valuable reading time wondering what to read next...

Caz (caz963) | 13 comments Three more down:

Devil in Winter (Wallflowers, #3) by Lisa Kleypas Vicar's Daughter to Viscount's Lady by Louise Allen The Dangerous Lord Darrington by Sarah Mallory

I listened to audiobook versions, but I've had dead tree/Kindle versions of them kicking around for over a year!

Caz (caz963) | 13 comments It's been a while since I checked in, but my "mount-tbr" shelf is showing that so far I've checked off the following titles:

Wicked Intentions (Maiden Lane, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt Notorious Pleasures (Maiden Lane, #2) by Elizabeth Hoyt Scandalous Desires (Maiden Lane, #3) by Elizabeth Hoyt A Rogue by Any Other Name (The Rules of Scoundrels, #1) by Sarah MacLean Much Ado About You (Essex Sisters, #1) by Eloisa James
Just Like Heaven by Julia Quinn The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley Devil in Winter (Wallflowers, #3) by Lisa Kleypas The Black Madonna (Civil War, #1) by Stella Riley The Lady's Companion by Carla Kelly Miss Jacobson's Journey (Rothschild Trilogy, #1) by Carola Dunn Fallen by Celeste Bradley Vicar's Daughter to Viscount's Lady by Louise Allen The Dangerous Lord Darrington by Sarah Mallory Ruined by Rumor by Alyssa Everett

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that I'm not really sticking to my list! And quite a few of these have been audio versions of books I've had for ages, but I'm told they still count! ;-)

I'm halfway through the audio of The Duchess War (Brothers Sinister, #1) by Courtney Milan , which IS on my list, so I'll be able to cross off at least one more.

Caz (caz963) | 13 comments And another one... Thief of Shadows (Maiden Lane, #4) by Elizabeth Hoyt

It's sad that I'm barely at the half way point, but my reviewing activities have exploded somewhat this year and I've had a lot of new stuff to get through. So I might not make the 36, but I'm going to get a few more done at least!

I'm about to start Garland of Straw (Civil War, #2) by Stella Riley , which has been on my TBR list for more than twenty years!
