Could members please post a date when there is a free LDS book?

I will next time. I didn't realize it until I started to try and go to the free books of others, but I am getting these posts days after they are made. When I go to the book, it isn't free anymore. I will be doing at least one of mine again soon, I will try and remember to post the date.

Thank you Jane. I did see that there were softly printed dates on some of the things I read. I would like to find some more wholesome things to read. I get into some pretty grited things. I go from one extreme to another with my reading.

I do that too. I would like to read more clean things too (mine are clean), but it seems like all of the LDS fiction I have given a try to is so corny and sappy, I couldn't stand it. I'm probably reading all the wrong stuff. I read a lot of YA and that almost always fits the bill, if it's well done.

Ok, your comment reminded me, I had one free promo day left on my first book and I decided to use it for Valentine's Day (it's a pretty good love story). So, my first book will be free tomorrow, 2-14-2013. Here is the link. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0095XN2QW It has all good reviews so far, except for one kook who was upset at all the Mormon content. There really wasn't that much LDS stuff in there, only in that it was an integral part of the main character. I think it's amusing that I got a one star review for the simple reason that this person downloaded the wrong book.

Does it count if as "LDS" if it was just written by an LDS author?
I suppose if it doesn't quite count at least it won't hurt to post it here. The book is perfectly clean.

Lol, I think that counts! I will get yours tomorrow. I know LDS publisher doesn't care if the book is about LDS, as long as you are an LDS author. And I have learned (since releasing mine) to leave reviews for EVERY book, even a 6 page children's book will get a review from me. I had no idea how important that was to the author until I experienced it myself. I hope no one took issue with my above comment (corny and sappy). I doubt I have read anything LDS that anyone here has even heard of. And I shouldn't have made such a blanket statement, because now that I think about it, some of the LDS books I have read have been some of the best I have ever read.

Jane, thanks for the support! :-D And I only mentioned reviews because I'm trying to make it a habit, so no worries!
I have seen more than one author mention those who review carelessly, or worse, maliciously (one had a bad review posted before the book was even available!), so that's where the "honest" disclaimer came from.

Are we just doing LDS authors and stories, or any good book, with good standards?

I'm not sure what the rules of the group are on that, but I think anything. I'm sure there are books on here that are not by LDS authors.
