just read that Under the Dome will be made into a tv series for cbs (summer 2013)-not sure if it's a summer event or if it will continue past the summer. Stephen King will be an executive producer as well as Steven Spielberg.

I wasn't that impressed with the novel. With Spielberg producing, maybe it will be better as a series.

I really enjoyed the book - until the point that we found out what was causing the dome! Hopefully there is a change for the series.

I loved the book, including the ending. King adaptations are always dubious, though. Not many have succeeded.

I agree. Seemed like an uncharacteristic cop-out for King.

It seems King's novels don't always translate well to the screen. Let's hope this one will be different, especially with Spielberg as a producer.

I loved UTD except for the ending. But I have to agree with Carrie. With the exception of his movies, the TV shows do not translate to well, imo
