Great idea, Hayley! Mercy is so pretty! Enjoy the 'fetch' while you can - I have found that most of my cats do this at first, but grow out of it quickly. They still like me to throw things, but tend to get their excitement out of just seeing the things moving through the air, and then just sit there and wait for me to throw another. Here are my babies - I adopted them about five years ago. They had been in a foster home together, and were best buddies, so I'm glad I kept them together!

Romeo, looking contemplative

(Kublai) Khan, rolling around and rubbing his face on a catnip pillow
I was only intending to adopt one kitten when I went to the shelter, and as soon as I saw Khan, I knew he was coming home with me, but Romeo was in the same cage, and had so much personality, he convinced me to take him, too!
Oh they're adorable :) I love the name Kublai Khan, that's class!! Romeo just looks so chilled, is that his personal chair ;D Khan definitely looks like a unique cat - breed wise - I'm not good with cat breeds but he is a handsome (catnip OD-ing?) fellow :D
I can't wait for the fetch stage to end - she currently wakes me up TOO early in the morning by jumping up on the bed & actually pushing the ball under my hand before making enough noise for me to wake up and play :S
I am so glad I went to the rescue, but there were so many others (lots of black cats) that I just wanted to take home with me too :O (Didn't dare ask if I got 15% donation discount for not getting an entire cat ;P) If I had enough money and space and time I would have a problem with too many animals!

Khan is a blue-point Siamese. I've had two Siamese before, but they were both seal-point, which is the most common, dark color, so I love his coloring. He is unique, though! He is very shy, and spends part of each day hiding. It took me a while to not take it personally! But he loves me and is very affectionate (when he's not in hiding!). Nobody who comes here ever sees him at all! The chair that Romeo is on is atually where Khan spends most of his afternoons. Romeo tends to sleep on my bed more often, and lately I've been spreading out an old fleece top, which he loves to lie on. Romeo's marking are more tortoise-shell pattern than tabby or tiger, and I and the vet suspect that he may have some Bengal breed in him (I had thought he might already, after seeing a picture of one and reading some of their characteristics, and then the vet mentioned the possibility without my saying anything, which reinforced my idea!). He is much more sociable, and very, very active! When I first brought them home, I got the impression that Romeo had made himself kind of Khan's protector. They love each other!Yes, Hayley, wouldn't it be easy to become a 'crazy cat lady', given enough space and resources?! ;)
These are my favorite pictures of Romeo and Khan, although they're from a while ago. They don't curl up together anymore like they did at first (I wish they would!).

Very pretty cats. I want to share pictures of Daisy,my puppy. But, not sure how to do it here. Help?

The way I know how is that, first, you need to have your photo(s) uploaded to the internet, because you need a URL (I use Photobucket). Then, when you are writing your comment, click on the link at the top right corner above the edit box that says '(some html is ok)'. Find the one for img (image), copy and paste that into your post, and replace the URL in the example with your own URL.
Beat me to it Denise! Yep, Photobucket is the one I use to, always great :)
Can't wait to see Daisy pics now Carolyn, you have me all excited, I love dogs too!

All your kitties here are gorgeous and rescued! :) I'm an animal rights advocate. Tempting me to show my babies... I'm "C" for Carolyn too, on dial-up in rural Canada but I'll wangle a pic anyway. I have seven sweethearts worth knowing. :) Let's start with our 12 year-old Siamese snowshoe, originally my brother's, (who oddly doesn't go out unless it's +2 Celcius). Here's McCartney Hendrix!

We borrowed McCartney after my childhood kitty passed away. My travelling brother let him stay. A year after, a kitty was born who looked EXACTLY like her. Hence we brought the then 3 year-old Siamese a baby brother. His Momma was an under-age stray and her son found a home with me. :) Now 8 years-old, beloved by all of the younger kitties we have: here is Spirit!

Thanks so much! Everyone, do call me Carolyn. :) Next- underage & pregnant, a shelter worker found her. Happily none ever ENTERED the shelter. (Unbelievably, I had to fight for the family but won). They met me halfway to my town, where we'd had our first house 1 month.I'd wanted an orange kitty someday. When her infants were born 4 days later, it was a fit I couldn't deny. She bore two whites, two oranges. If the public asks, oh yes - you shall see them all! Please meet my daughter, Marigold!

Carolyn they are all so gorgeous! If I had a house big enough (& didn't think Mercy would get jealous of another cat getting her attention) I would definitely consider getting another kitty :)
Small house but the outbuilding is a nice boost. Can you believe, our apartment overturned long acceptance of pets? For the sake of McCartney & Spirit, rural was cheaper (still with neighbours and a loud dog lately). We're on 2-1/2 pretty acres; well worth a small cottage. :)Thanks for exclaiming about our eldest three, all of you!!!! Praise of our babies makes me smile to no end (and seeing yours)! I'll introduce Marigold's children next. No one thought McCartney would take to anyone. He balked at baby Spirit for a week, 8 years ago. But our Siamese kindly accepted 5 more! Just go with the hisses for a while.

I'll start - this is my rescue kitty Mercy. Got her from the local RSPCA shelter back in February. She'll be 2 next March and she plays a mean game of 'Fetch' (think she hung around dogs too much growing up ;D). Oh, and no, your eyes are not deceiving you - she is missing a leg, but can still climb curtains!
