Haha. I find the endings of books far more satisfactorary if they have romance in them =)

I think that some romance is cute and likable, others, not so much. It really depends on the type of romance and the writer...The Dragon Slippers romance was kinda cute, and not over done.
totally, sometimes i wish they would keep their nasty thoughts to themselves and not put them in their books... >:( i really hate it when the couple meets and then knows that they were made for each other. LAME!!! i mean, really?! don't you want to get to know him first?
And, she thinks he is kinda cute at first, but doesn't go crazy over him. I like her. Wait, what is her name again? i just forgot...:/
Creel. I really liked the romance, but i really liked how the romance was just twisted into the plot, and not the plot itself...
I like how they don't obsess over each other the whole book. I like how they just like each other. They're so cute!

i thought the way he proposed was so cute!!! YAY FOR HIM!!!
Kendraseth wrote: "I like how they don't obsess over each other the whole book. I like how they just like each other. They're so cute!"romance is so much more fun to read when it is not over done!

i haven't read either of those. I don't like all romances. But most books are more fun when they have romance in them. I think that The Chronicles of Narnia was just fine without romance.
PS That is a timeless seiries!!!!! (The Chronicles of Narnia) :D
i love this book so much and i think it was great because they are obviously in love but they are not so mushy about it. But even without too much romance in it, it still shows they care about each other.Luca is my favourite character and sometimes i even make stories up with a prince called Luca. When i first read this book i wanted my boyfriend to be called Luca. My friends thought i was mad. Once my teacher told me off because i was talking about Luca in class.
What the?... what does "told me off" mean? i am a homeschooler and have never been to public school in my life! And i know what your thinking. Yes, i have friends, yes, i learn alot, yes, i can eat during my schoolwork, and yes, i sometimes stay in my pajamas almost all day. But not EVERY day mind you :D
i love doing homeschool. i was in a totally awesome shakespeare play. that means i got to go to....SHAKESPEARE SHOWDOWN, THE AWESOMEST PLACE EEEEEEEVEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how that relates to dragon slippers. good thing we are not in the middle of an ocean. i can just see us "hey, whats that triangle thingy sticking up out of the water? maybe it is a dragon!!!" ;)
I like being able to count on a HEA when reading romance, but I love twist endings when you're not sure it will be a HEA.

I'm guessing Happily Ever After
If you liked Dragon Slippers you should read Jessica Day George's Princess of the Midnight Ball. It's so cute, maybe even better than Dragon Slippers! You'll love it!
i love dragon slippers and i've never read princess of the midnight ball. i kinda wish that dragon slippers had more books to it, like a kinda back story of luka and creel's children or something... they're so cute together! my favorite moment is in the end of the first book when she thinks he's talking about someone else but he's talking about her! it's so adorable <3
“It looks as though your shop is doing well," Luka said gazing around, "Could you help me find a gift for a lady friend of mine?"My heart plunged to my grenn satin slippers, and I had to stare down at Azarte for a minute, petting him hard. Naturally Luka had a "lady friend." She was probably nobly born: the daughter of a count or a duke. I imagined her having thick dark hair and clear skin, and was bitterly jealous. "Of course," I stammered after a time. "What would she like? A gown? A sash?" If she came in for a fitting, I decided to "accidentlly" poke her with every pin.”

Happy Ever After at the end!
Rossy wrote: "i love dragon slippers and i've never read princess of the midnight ball. i kinda wish that dragon slippers had more books to it, like a kinda back story of luka and creel's children or something....."I agree, the end of the first one is adorable!!! I like that he surprises her with the Shardas thing too.

The last line is my favorite!!! haha!!!
I actually really like goodreads. I like it because most of the time my favorite books are the ones no one else reads! I like goodreads because you can find people to discuss a book with that both of you love!
Mary wrote: "totally, sometimes i wish they would keep their nasty thoughts to themselves and not put them in their books... >:( i really hate it when the couple meets and then knows that they were made for eac..."Exactly
Mary wrote: "Can I unfriend people after I friend them? I am still trying to figure this thingy out. :)"Go to your friends list (your profile, and then on the right "show more" or something is the easiest way :)) and click 'edit friends' and then the little X at the corner of the friend's name :)
