GR App - Scanning Books

Discovered the same thing in front of my bookcase one day. Fantastic for getting books in lists. Also, a tip for those who have not tried it - you need a little more light than a reading lamp to be successful.I agree about the app. Lately, it's been truncating discussions posts that are a bit lengthy. Or so it appears. Maybe they will update its user-friendliness (and the web site's) some day.
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't use it for participating in Group Discussions. It's just not built for it.
I got a new Android phone a couple weeks ago and was excited to use the barcode scanner on the app (since my old phone didn't have it), but I haven't been able to get it to work the couple times I've tried to use it. I keep meaning to try again with more light.
I was really impressed with how well it worked on my old iPhone 4. Most of the barcode scanner apps I've tried don't work outside the US, so this was very fun for me!

While I was in the airport book shop yesterday, I decided to try out the "scan" function. It's awesome! For all the books I saw that I thought might be worth a look, I scanned in the barcodes, and it pulled up their GR entry, also saving them on a list. Now when I have time, I can have a browse, see what my friends thought, read some reviews and decide whether I want to pay the exorbitant airport price for it next time I'm there (ie Monday).
Just thought I'd let people know - it's a really handy function, and it actually works really well.
