Young Adult Book Reading Challenges discussion

Has anyone read the sequels and prequel novella to Storm? If yes, what have you read and what did you think (no spoilers without marking them please). If no, do you plan on reading them?

My husband hates prequels, but I think they're fine if they work as stand alone novels. I know nothing about Storm, although it looks interesting:)

I read the prequal before I read Storm itself. I think it was pretty important, or at least important to the development of Michael. It was mainly about him and... urgh! I can't remember the name of the girl he was with before all of this happened and was the sister of the boy of the family who the brothers are constantly fighting with. Sorry, I've read a few books since then and I can't remember. But it was about their relationship. The only thing is that it leaves on a cliffhanger and doesn't tell you what happens until halfway through Storm, which was annoying. But I found the prequal enjoyable. I really want to read 1.5 - Fearless and I can't wait! :D

My copy of Storm actually had the prequel at the end. I enjoyed it because it gave new light to Michael's story. I really felt that there was still a something missing from the story, even with reading what happened in Storm. It still didn't feel complete to me.

I think the girl's name is Emily? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I haven't read the prequel or sequels yet, but I definitely plan on it!

The sequel, Spark, is so good. It's a lot better than Storm, which I ended up giving four-stars. But Spark topped my all-time favs list. It's in Gabriel's perspective, and so it focuses on different characters.

Wow! Now I'm going to have to check it out. While I liked Storm, I didn't love it enough to really want to read the sequels (so many other books out there), but now I'm intrigued.

Elemental was good but after you read Storm you already know what happens to Emily so it kinda sucks.

I noticed that all the Merrick brothers fall for the girls hard and fast. Chris fell for Becca too quickly. (but I kinda liked them as a couple and am secertly hoping another book about them will pop up)

I read Elemental, Storm, and Spark and I loved them all. I'm glad I read Elemental first or I would not have liked Michael at all. Though I have to say I liked Spark the best so far. I can't to read Fearless and Spirit.
