I won a poetry bood from the firstreads giveaway: American Society: What Poets See. I'm still reading it but it's pretty good so far!http://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sho...
I'm reading Bernadette Meyer's Midwinter Day in prep for Julia's discussion on ModPo forum starting 12/19. Very good. Have already read some sections twice. I'm also reading a history book about Anglo/American position in the world called God and Gold. Listening in the car to Jane Austin's Emma. I love On the Road, and you are certainly right that it is full of poetry. My last reading was actually an audio book (I drive a lot). I don't remember who read it, but it was well done and a very pleasurable listen.
I started reading "The Letters of Emily Dickinson." Enjoying them a lot. I was assuming there was going to be a spin off ModPo group discussing these, but haven't managed to find it yet.
Hi,Well, here we are in ModPo II. As I have less of a struggle this time to understand certain concepts,I am able to participate more actively in the discussion forums-very satisfying! Right now, I'm reading "Ecstatic Occasions and Expedient Forms" - in which each of 65 poets close-reads 1 of their poems. A great read!! Check it out!
