Delirity discussion

In this challenge the idea is for you to take the last word of a novels title and use it to pick your next book. I just finished the book What Happens at Christmas. So, if I were to use this as my first book, the second would have to have the word Christmas somewhere in the title. Here's the kicker. It can't be used as the last word again. Skipping Christmas wouldn't work. I could use Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor or The Magical Christmas Cat. Then for more third word I would have to search for a title with Friday or Cat in the title, depending on which one I picked. You'll do this for 5 books. Here's an example:

1) Models Don't Eat Chocolate Cookies
2) Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder
3) Murder on Astor Place
4) A Place Called Here
5) Here Comes the Bride

You can pluralize or un-pluralize a word like with cookies and cookie, but you cannot take the word true and make it Truly or Truth.

Question Heather...Would wildest to wild work? is that a from of pluralization?

No. Changing the quantity is one thing, but technically that would be changing the meaning of the verb itself. Sorry. I thought I'd throw one out there that might actually force us to plan.

Darcy, be careful because Dream can't end up as the last word of the second book. Joeera, same thing with Love.

I'm having the same problem between books 4 and 5. I didn't think about it and picked one that ended in Gentleman for book 5, but have to change it now.

Heather is it ok now if the last book is not ok i will change it as well

Joeera, based on your first book, the second should have love in it, but not as the last word. That one's good. Then, because book 2 end with the word Lord, book 3 should have the word Lord in it, but not as the last word. Book 4 should have whatever the last word of book 3 is once you get that one worked out and the process continues..

Heather, take a look at my choices this time around. I had a hard time coming up with books for this one.

1-3 are good. Technically, 4 doesn't have the same last word as 3, even though it was used previously. So it works. 5 is where you're screwed. =) Walking would be the word to use.
If you want to re-read a Charlaine Hariss book would help with the word Dead in it. The Dead and Gone, Dead Beautiful, What the Dead Know, Dead and Loving It, Dead is So Last Year, Dead End Dating, ... Or, since 4 technically works, you're stuck finding the word Walking a second time.

I'd use Daisy's Back in Town - Small Town Christmas - and then go from there. It might be easier. You could do Christmas Eve At Friday Harbor again. Then Harbor Lights would leave you with a lot of options for light or lights.

Heather I don't think this one is for me, taxes my brain too much to figure things out. Of course it doesn't help that with my last set of books, #1 was dnf for me. lol

If you send me a few titles of what's upcoming for you I can try and work something out. Otherwise, I understand. I was trying to make one hard enough to challenge you, but I guess I went to far.

Or, if you find another book that ends in girl, we can fix #5 and you're okay.

If you want, you can just pick ones for me. You know what I like to read so I should be ok.

I don't have a lot of books coming in to the library right now, so I had planned on reading a bunch of e-books that I have had for a while.

I just noticed the "You have to read them in order" part which would mean I need to start over. I might be out of this one.

Ehh... I'll take it off. Don't worry. Just read them.

I was having a debate with myself since I wanted to read my 3rd book before my 2nd anyway so it works out in the end. =)

Haha. Speaking of that...Darcy, I came up with something for you last week and forgot to post. You read Up to Me so book 2 can be Blow Me Down, 3 Down for the Count, 4 Count to Ten, 5 ....your choice Ten Tiny Breaths, Ten Things I Love About You, Ten Ways to be Adored...

And, I'm going to push the date back about 2 weeks to March 15 just so you have a bit more time.

I figure that gives you cutesy romance, steamy romance, and some suspense. Then, either YA or your choice of historical's which I know you LOVE so much ;) I assume you'll go with the YA.

I have both of my last 2 books here. Even read a few pages of book 4, but I keep picking up other books instead.
Plus, hockey started back so I've already managed to slow down and it's only been since Saturday. And, my team actually made it into the Super Bowl so there goes a Sunday. =) I'm way too obsessed.

So after trying 2 different times to figure books out for myself, then having Heather (thanks!) figure out things for me, I finally finished my books.
