Do you think that there should be abortion? Do you think that's it fine or there should be a law against it? Please feel free to share your views.

personaly i dont agree with abortion, but i dont want to say how other people should live their lives. but also i feel if people do certain things that they shouldnt be aloud to get an abortion but thats just me.......

I am against abortion, because look at it, you're killing a young and innocent life that did nothing! Basically its like trying to get rid of responsibilities-which might be the easy way out but you need to live with it! I respect other people's opinion, I'm just stating how i feel about abortion.

I am pro abortion ONLY if you protect yourself [but we all know that protection is 99% safe so there is a 1% risk] and you get pregnant&you are not ready for a baby then i believe it's okay to abort.I mean,between two evils you choose the least evil...right?
You better have an abortion instead of having the baby and then giving him to adoption or end up making both your life and his miserable due to struggling to raise him up.If you can't raise him properly and you can't offer him a decent living then you better have an abortion because having&raising a child is not a piece of cake.That's what i believe,at least and, as everyone else here, i respect others opinion.I just wished to express my opinion about this matter because it's a pretty discussed&debated subject[I even had a debate in my Biology class].:D

I'm pro-life because I believe its wrong to kill innocent people.. especially a baby..

I am personally pro-life. I think that abortion is wrong, and sad. I feel that life is a blessing, and you never know who that child could have turned into. He could have had the cure for cancer, or he could be the next Einstein. I think that if it is too much of a burden or you aren't in the state that you can keep or watch a child, put it up for adoption. That way someone out there has a baby they have always wanted, and you know it goes into a loving,financially stable home. These are my opinions, and I respect yours, so please respect mine.

I'm personally against abortion, but there are exceptions. For example, if a person has been abused, they have a right to give up the child.

i agree in the since that if ur abused you should be allowed to abort the baby, but if protection fails and u willing go along then i say just give the baby up for adoption, at least give it a fighting chance.

Im yes and no about it. I agree its wrong but i have 3 friends who were raped and got pregnant 2 got abortions 1 went through but had a miscarrage and i understand and have to respect them they were only 12 and 13. I also have 2 friends who just got pregnant one protection broke but she didnt mind and had the baby the other pregnant on purpose. There 16 and 17..they both kept there babies and are very good moms and there parents help suport them at times of need. So im not really agenst it bu tnot with it either.

I think it should be legal. A person shouldn't be forced to have a baby they can't afford or if they just aren't ready for one

What?? so i can commit murder as long as I make sure it won't harm me in anyway (like I cover up all the evidence so nobody finds out and puts me into jail). nope nope nope it is still a human life!!

so u think it's okay 4 parents 2 just kill their children cuz it's inconvenient? look, there are thousands and thousands and thousands of ppl all over the world who do not have enough money to support their families. That does NOT give them a reason to kill off all their kids so that they don't have 2 take care of them! This whole nonsense about a woman's "choice" is really just an excuse for irresponsible women 2 get rid of an inconvenience in their life.

btw, adoption is a GREAT option, as if somebody does adopt the child then it is because they WANT him/her, and often the kids would be raised in good homes.

But say the birth of that sister would either

A) Kill/Seriously injure your mother
B) Bankrupt your family

There would be a lot less complications if she were to get an abortion

Irresponisble? Some people who get abortions get them because they are raped. How could you call that "irresponsible"? No one wants the product of such a traumatizing moment in life growing inside them

If you willingly have sex and get pregnant then yes abortion is totaly wrong its saying you want only half of whats to come. But rape...no it should stay lawful to abort, i see giving up for adoption just as bad and also leads kids to suicide for feeling/knowing their not loved. I have meny friends who were adopted and 3 of 7 are abused from their adoptive parents.

Those thousands and thousands and thousands of people who do not have enough money to support their families, probably have a miserable life and their kids[which were not aborted and can't be killed 'cause that's,actually,murder] are starving to death.I am not saying that the "thousands and thousands and thousands" of people should kill their children[=> murder] but it would be wise not to have any more children having in view their actual situation,but it does not mean she should stop from having intercourse with her husband.As i was saying in my 1st post,if the protection used fails,the woman should be allowed to abort:
-1st because she has total control of her body;
- 2nd because she might not afford having a/another child [if referring to a woman who already has children];
-3rd because she was raped/she's mentally ill or both.

Actually,you DID NOT get it.Amber,through "abused person", was referring to a woman that has been raped & said that she agrees that the woman in cause should be allowed to make an abortion.You talking about the murdering of your sister& your right to kill the murderer has nothing to do with what she was saying.

Well if they passed a law just for the Christian faith, it would violate the bill of rights. We have freedom of religion and not everyone is Christian

I believe in abortion, I believe that this is a woman's right that should never be taken away. Also it isn't committing murder when you get an abortion because there is a time limitation on getting one, because before the fact, the fetus is not fully developed or conscious. Saying it's murder is just an excuse to stop abortion and to make women who get them feel bad about themselves. But like everyone else says, this is my own opinion and I would never force it onto anyone else but I will stand for what I believe in just like those who feel the opposite. It's nice to know others' point of views, and I am glad that I am allowed to share mine.

I would only get an abortion if I got raped... If I decided to have sex and I fell pregnant even accidently then I would defintly keep the baby! For sure!

Bring a Christian believer, i'm totally against abortion because we christians believe that when the sperm and egg meets, it's instant life! And it's just wrong because it's not your life to dictate, it's another's. If you truly don't want the baby, give it into adoption and let another family love them!! Even if i get raped, i'd still never be that selfish to kill off an innocent's life!

So if its just a blob of cells, then why do the courts count it as double homicide when someone kills a pregnant woman? This creates a huge contradiction when looking at the time of getting the abortion ("Oh, its just a blob of cells") to when someone is murdered ("This guy should be punished for killing two individuals!").

I'm a very strong believe in Christ, and I have never agreed with abortion. Surprisingly, abortion is almost like slavery (Here is my essay on it: http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/2...)!

Probably just to get that person for more than one murder. Obviously that woman hadn't planned on getting an abortion either. If it was murder then abortion would be illegal. I say with personal experience of my friends that almost half the time the child does not get adopted and ends up in foster care where there foster parent only has them so they can get money for doing so. Every experience is different and there is no possible way to know that infants future, but at the risk of giving it a horrible like I would rather it not have one at all. Some may find that callous but I'm just dealing with reality. This infant hasn't lived a life, like others can say that it's just like killing a regular person. I guess a living being to me is something that is living in the world not the womb, atleast in the case where the infant isn't even developed as a person should be before the time limitations of abortion.

Yes, it's true that murdering a pregnant woman would be double homicide for her and the baby but that is actually only a double homicide if the baby is more than 27 weeks old, or is even considered viable outside of the womb, and the limitation for getting an abortion is 24 weeks or less.

I am against it.... I mean you're killing life a living, breathing thing and I mean, I just don't think that it is right, it's not fair to that child... they need a chance at least! Just give the child up for adoption, they're are so many families that want a child but for some reason can't have one, but you can! You can have that child for them, change their lives! and there is one way to solve all of this... don't have sex.. if you don't want kids don't do something that is going to give you kids, that's common knowledge! And with the rape thing... well I have never gone through that, so I have no way to say anything about that from personal experience... all I can say is don't punish the baby for the father's crime...

So, over the past year I have debated with pro-choice people and one thing stands out: You guys literally have an extremely negative out look on life. Sure life wont be a walk in the park, sure it wont be fun, sure life isn't fair, sure life doesn't give us what we want, and sure life kicks us when we're down...but does that mean that we should stop living or not even know what it's like to live? Just because we don't like how times are tough?
This is like saying to someone who is depressed (I should know): Things won't get better for you so you should kill yourself now when you still have the chance.
Every Pro-Choice person who uses the 'crappy life' scenario does not take in account all the good parts in life.

Yes, but there have been abnormality's when the baby looks as if it were on its ninth month. I don't think its right to abort a baby when there are only three months left.
And then comes the horrid way of how the doctors go about aborting a baby. If the mother is still in her first stage, they use a EVA (Electric Vacuum Aspiration) or a MVA (Manual Vacuum Aspiration). This is when the doctors use a vacuum to remove the fetus or embryo, placenta and membranes by suction using a manual syringe.
What if the mother is in her second stage (4-6 months)? They preform something that is called D&E (Dilation and Evacuation). This process is basically cutting the baby up into small parts, then scraping them out.
After this, they might reconstruct the bloody pile back into something that looks like a baby.

It's inside your body right? If anything, it shares similar traits to a parasite. It benefits at the expense of its host and relies on the host for survival.

My opinion on this subject is that abortion just shouldn't be here. Killing a child just because you were stupid and got yourself hitched doesn't mean the child should pay for your idiotic mistakes. As for the rape or being to young, live with the kid while you're pregnant, have it, and give it up for adoption! There are SO many people that can't have kids or have had tradgedies strike in the past that would LOVE to have a child of their own. Also, like some people have previously mentioned it is basically murder! The kid never did anything to you!
Seriously, based on how immodest most dress is today it doesn't surprise me how many more girls are getting pregnant. If you don't want a kid, DON'T DRESS LIKE A FREAKING SLUT! It's as simple as that.
I understand that rape is forced, but nowadays they have to find the father of the person who raped you, so he could be arrested, and then your rapist is behind bars. The child is not the rapist, but an innocent life that was brought into the cross fire. It's not fair for the unborn baby, especially since you don't know what it could amount too! Maybe it would've been the person to find a permanent cure for cancer, or someone who helped create world peace, or maybe even stopped world hunger. Of course, the person who aborted the child wouldn't ever know because they killed the kid before they gave it a chance.
Yet again, killing is murder. Therefor killing an unborn child is MURDER! Just because it can't scream or run or is even conscious doesn't mean that it isn't alive. Seriously, it's sick, and wrong.

Why seven months? Did you know that around month three, the baby has a detectible heart beat, you could see it's arms and legs on the ultra-sound, and basically it looks like a real baby.

Jordan, a baby is not a parasite, it is a living thing that depends on its mother to survive for nine months while inside her. It doesn't do the mother harm on purpose, it's a freaking BABY for pete's sake! It can't control what it's doing!
