Brad Middleton (middleton) | 7 comments Did any of you ever play the WoT video game back in 1999? I was disappointed, and never finished it...although I thought The Ways were very well designed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Whee...

Gianluca (gianlucag) I've actually tried it a few days ago. It's really quite impressive to be honest, considering that it was released more than 12 years ago. I didn't get far at all, so I can't say about the story. Though it's not nearly a perfect adaptation, the game is faithful enough to the books (at least from what I've seen) to make me excited.

Paul (paul_chauvet) | 14 comments I played it way back when, a year or so after it came out. It was okay. Not amazing in my opinion but I would have rathered an RPG with a lot more plot and more locations from the books instead of a first person shooter.

I still have the disc or disc floating around here somewhere. I wonder if I could play it on my much newer computer?

Randall Trussell (randalthor66) | 21 comments I still have it, as well. What I would like to see, is it getting done in a way like Skyrim and Fallout 3, a huge RPG.

Erica | 27 comments The game didn't make me feel like I was in the WoT world at all. I never finished it. :(

I'm not 100% positive, and I never double-checked the dates, ...but I'd like to think that the character from the game appears in the books:

At one point, in one of the books, someone describes something that happened years and years ago: an Aes Sedai gives a whole batch of ter'angreal to someone and "raving" about Ishameal being released.

Awesome.

Marissa (tehwereferret) Wonder if GOG.com has it? I'd love to try it.

Kenneth Geary (KagedBooks) (kagedbooks) | 17 comments I got it from Amazon, but my computer had problems running it, i guess maybe the technoglogy gap was too great.

It has been awhile since I tried to run older games, and I never did manage to find my copy of WOT, but if I remember correctly there is a way to slow new computers to run old games. I think DOSbox is where you want to start a search.
