M.J. Webb (mjwebb) Hi all

The Jake West Trilogy is an epic fantasy adventure series which will have you laughing, crying and begging for more. Compared by some readers to the great author C S Lewis, M J Webb’s novels have been described as a cross between Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. The story tells of two ordinary boys who unlock by accident a deadly secret which threatens to destroy us all. Hunted across worlds the teenagers escape to a fantasy land. There, our intrepid heroes will have to rely on each other and the alliances they make in order to survive against the overwhelming forces of evil who now seek their destruction. The exciting novels contain heroes in abundance, battles, wizards, dragons, spirits, warriors and beasts, the undead, prophecies... and just plain human guts and determination. There are strong themes of loyalty and friendship. These are books all parents will want their children to read and be inspired by.
‘The Estian Alliance is the spectacular conclusion to the Jake West trilogy which will take you on the ride of your life. This story is full of action, adventure and twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat,’ said one reviewer. ‘A pleasure to read aloud to my sons, we were engrossed in the action from start to finish. The characters are extremely well written, and you WILL form an emotional attachment to them. They're so well crafted, they remain in your thoughts for a long time,’ said another.

I'd love reviews or comments. You can check out more at http://www.jakewest.co.uk

Wow, your books sound right up my alley. As I kid I was pretty much obsessed with Lord of the Rings (read the trilogy more than ten times growing up!) and as an adult I fell in love with HP. Great mix!

L.W. Patricks | 19 comments Hey everyone, I'm giving away Shadow of Wrath Part One: Caged to all my email subscribers on my blog.

Shadow of Wrath Part One Caged by L.W. Patricks

Here's a synopsis of it:

If survival meant murdering an innocent person in cold blood every week, could you do it? Are you able to stick the knife into your opponent’s heart while they look at you with fear in their eyes? Life in the Arena turns everyone into sinners.

When a starving and homeless boy is kidnapped and brought to a modern-day gladiator arena, hidden deep within the abandoned city of Bimini, he is forced to fight for his life. The crude death matches are a source of enjoyment for Ryker, who resides over the Arena as its vicious master. Given the name Dog, the street boy must find a way to survive, even if it means murdering other innocent kids in combat at the expense of his humanity. With every dead body he leaves behind in the pit, the blood and the violence threatens to wake a beast inside him.Allegra, a slave girl in the pits and a victim of Ryker’s constant abuse, is his only key to salvation. She has lost everything already — her family, her innocence, and her dignity — while her will to live hangs on by a thin thread. Can she save Dog’s humanity before she too succumbs to the horrors of the Arena? With death casting it’s long shadow over everyone, how can anyone survive?A tale about survival, tragedy, and human perseverance, SHADOW OF WRATH allows us a glimpse into the world of the Sins of the 7.

You can read the first chapter for free here, as well as sign up for to receive a free copy in the new year!

Scott McCloskey Hello folks!

If you're looking for an fun-filled, Narnia-esque romp through a unique fantasy realm, check out The Goldenwealth Light -- it is my debut novel, first in the Traveler of Ord Saga. Reviewers have had good things to say, and the book's cover was designed by Paul Beeley, the current number one voted designer on goodreads' Best Illustrated Covers list. Check out the title link above for more information, or the following link on Goodreads.

The Goldenwealth Light is currently available as a FREE ARR Program read in the Making Connections YA Edition group. I am currently seeing about having it added to the R&R Program on David Estes Fans and YA Book Lovers Unite!

Here is the book's formal description:

Rather than being a hero with the fate of an entire world on his shoulders, Theodore Ellsworth spends his miserable days suffering merciless humiliation at the hands of prep-school bullies. It just so happens that an ancient prophecy, a shimmering city, and a herd of six-legged horses are about to change all that.

When a mysterious book transports Theo and his overachieving little sister Marie to a world full of wonders that defy anything he's ever read about before, Theo finds himself accused of a crime he didn't commit that carries the ultimate penalty. A reluctant princess, a winged gnome, and a hot-tempered young sorceress are there to help, but will they be enough to prove to an arrogant knight and thousands of fanatical citizens that the Ellsworth children aren't an evil that must be destroyed?

Told in the tradition of classics like The Chronicles of Narnia and The Neverending Story, The Goldenwealth Light is the first book in a fun-filled romp through the unique realm of the Traveler of Ord, weaving high adventure and deadly intrigue in a fanciful tapestry that will keep readers from ages ten to adult turning pages for hours.

Thanks for looking!

Patricia Hamill (patricia_hamill) | 1 comments Hello all,
I have two very different books out on kindle right now. One, Shadows of Valor, is a fantasy YA. The other, The Golden Ship, is a children's (or older) book with a bit of a christian theme.

The Golden Ship will be free on kindle tomorrow and Tuesday (March 4-5) for anyone who's interested. It is not YA, so keep that in mind. I meant it to be funny and a light read, not plot heavy or deep. If you do pick up a copy, please PM me with your thoughts or, if you're really frisky, leave a review. :-)

Thomas Meyers Ready for your next YA fantasy series fix? Look no further than Eric Elmoor and The Gauntlet of Godric, the first book in the 5 part Eric Elmoor saga!

"Welcome to Novogard – Where lands have been shattered from racial division. Where a powerful government has begun its encroachment onto unwilling societies. Where the magical and the technological collide.

"Fifteen year old Eric Elmoor has always felt like an outcast; ceaselessly teased about his unusual purple eyes, never fitting into any particular group at school, raised only by his mother since his father died inexplicably when he was only a small child. But when three warlocks simultaneously attack the three biggest cities in all of Novogard, Eric is taken on a journey to the elf homeland where the secrets of his mysterious origins will be revealed and the power within him unleashed...and a forbidden relationship with the chieftain's goddaughter begins.

"With the warlocks and their hellish horde now threatening the borders of the elvish lands, Eric must find the courage to make a stand and face the one who murdered his father in the vain hope of saving all of Novogard from utter ruin."

5/5 star ratings thus far.

Praise for the book:

"Unexpected...I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE..."

"This is an outstanding book which I will probably read again ([most] likely each time a sequel comes out)."

"Overall, a very enjoyable read."

"Very creative, this book makes you want to keep reading..."

Kevin (khardman) | 5 comments I currently have two books out:

1) YA fantasy/paranormal novel entitled "Warden (Book 1: Wendigo Fever)," and the description is as follows:

"Part lawman, part tracker and part magician, the Wardens are monster-hunters - tasked with protecting the people from the various, nightmarish creatures that have invaded the world of men. However, despite being descended from a long line of Wardens, 16-year-old Errol Magnus believes it to be the absolute worst job on the planet: How could a single occupation simultaneously be the most boring, abominably stupid and extraordinarily dangerous profession imaginable?

But when his older brother Tom - the current Warden for their region - goes missing, Errol has no choice but to enter the Badlands, where monsters abide in mind-boggling numbers, to find him. During his search, Errol crosses paths with - and finds himself stalked by - the legendary Wendigo, a monster with preternatural strength and speed, as well as enhanced senses of sight, smell and hearing…and an insatiable hunger for human flesh.

Now Errol must do the impossible and not only escape from the monster (something no one has ever done before), but also avoid the unearthly legacy it leaves on all its victims - a terrifying curse known as Wendigo Fever."

http://www.amazon.com/Warden-Book-Wen...

2) The other book is called "Sensation: A Superhero Novel" and has the following description:

"Like millions of other kids, Jim grew up wanting to be a superhero. Unlike most of his contemporaries, however, Jim actually had the goods: a plethora of super powers that would have been the envy of any meta on the planet. But when his tryout with the Alpha League - the world's premiere group of supers - goes disastrously wrong, Jim basically becomes an outcast.

Two years later, Jim is still bitter about what happened to him. However, he soon finds himself the centerpiece in an odd turn of events that gives him a second chance at his dream. But nothing is as easy as it sounds, as Jim soon discovers. Among other things, he’s made an enemy of a prospective super teammate, he’s being stalked by an unknown pursuer, and a shadowy cabal bent on world domination has identified him as the only obstacle to their plans.

It’s a lot for one super to handle, even with a smorgasbord of abilities. But if saving the world were easy, everyone would do it…"

Stone Secrets:

Stone Secrets takes you on an adventure to the forgotten islands of Ireland and beyond into the world of the unknown. Fifteen year old Kaia McClaine’s world is falling apart. After a tragic death in the family and an unforeseen accident, Kaia and her older brother Aiden find themselves at odds with their father and thrust into an unknown world.

Against their will, Kaia and her brother are sent away to live in Ireland with their aunt, someone they have never met. Aunt Betha spends her days at Trinity College in Dublin searching for what she refers to as The Truth, while Aiden’s rebellious ways lead him into the city where he acquaints himself with roustabout friends, rough football games, and crawling from club to club. Kaia, left alone at Aunt Betha’s, finds herself struggling with loneliness, guilt, and pain.

After an encounter with two young boys, who refer to her as The Seer, Kaia surprises herself, and taking her aunt’s car, follows the visions of her daydream to search for Aiden in the city of Dublin. Kaia finds herself at Connelly’s Pub and there, she experiences intoxicating music and meets a handsome Irish boy named Finn who teaches her about the ancient Celtic Wheel. Something very powerful is taking place; unknown to Kaia, the Great Shift has begun. Kaia’s visions and hidden powers, with the help of Finn, will guide her and her brother in their journey to battle a secret society; a social order that has been controlling the world for thousands of years. Their quest will struggle to restore balance to the world, and should they fail, all will be lost.

Hannah (bookish92) | 8 comments I have two young adult fiction novels available on kindle. Both under £3.

The first is How I Got Here by Hannah Harvey

How I Got Here is a young adult novel. It takes us through River's story, a young girl who has been in hospital for a long time. She's incredibly withdrawn and lonely. Nobody around her tries to understand her symptoms, choosing instead to brush it aside. Until Oliver, a young doctor who works hard to figure out what's happening with her.

Through a series of letters to him, River starts to open up about the painful details of her past, until she's explained the story of how she got to where she is.

The second is After Summer by Hannah Harvey

Everything changes for Arianna when she loses one of her best friends in an accident, suddenly everything that felt happy and safe, is no longer there, and she can't handle it.
It used to be Ben, Summer and Arianna, always together, and now it's just Ben and Arianna left, and she needs to escape.
After Summer's death she pushes Ben away, cutting of her connection with who she used to be, but she can't keep running forever, not when the past is always ready to catch her up, especially since it's more than just Summer's death that she's running from.

Where the first book follows more of the romance, the second has more adventure and surprises and twists. Both books in ‘The Destiny Series’ are full length novels, so the preview’s on Amazon, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble’s sites take you into about chapter four.

The second giveaway is for four print copies of my new release ‘Memory Betrayal’ a new adult / adult contemporary romance. Available on iBooks, as well as the sites mentioned above.

Memory Betrayal is the story of college student Elliana Brandt and her twist of fate journey with wealthy CEO Grayson Dane.

Elliana Brandt avoids men like Grayson Dane as one would the plague.

Womanizer Grayson Dane has never met a woman he didn’t like, or that he couldn’t have.

So when a chance meeting brings him to her rescue and disinterested Elliana simply thanks him afterwards and leaves, stunned Grayson goes out after her, snatches her from the sidewalk before she can hail a cab, and forces her into his Escalade, unaware of the tragedy he was about to inflict on her, or that he’d wake up in a hospital bed, her at his side, with everyone under the impression that she is his wife. Including Elliana herself.

The ball was already rolling, what could he do…?

Share Elliana and Grayson’s story of unexpected love, betrayal, heartbreak, past secrets, and healing.

Here are the links, for those of you who would like to check it out. 

Shayna Varadeaux (ShaeAnn77) | 49 comments Okay, so I self published at the beginning of January and my first book is True Fate. It will be the first in the series but I did absolutely everything. I wrote, edited and formatted then published. I had two very critical Beta readers and a few more that gave less critique but I need someone that is going to be brutally honest with me when it comes to my writing. I am not an English major and I had alot to fix and I am pretty certain there's more that I need to change as far as grammar and maybe descriptiveness.

So that being said if there is anyone willing to read my book and give descriptive feedback I would so appreciate it. Plus I will need solid Betas for book 2, True Chaos.

If you are interested in any of that let me know here or inbox me. Probably inbox for the review copy would be best. Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks for considering to torture me with your brutal honesty! :)

Also info or critique on character development and believability is welcome to!

Jesikah Sundin (jesikahsundin) | 2 comments Legacy (The Biodome Chronicles #1) by Jesikah Sundin

Legacy

A sensible young nobleman, Leaf Watson, and his sister, Willow Oak, live a rustic medieval life rich in traditions and chivalry. Sealed inside an experimental biodome since infancy, they have been groomed by The Code to build a sustainable community devoid of Outsider interference.

They are unwitting pioneers on a path toward confined interplanetary homesteading.

Life within their walled garden is predictable and peaceful until the unthinkable happens. With his dying breath, Leaf and Willow's noble father bequeaths a family secret, placing an invisible crown of power on Leaf's head. Grief-stricken and afraid for their lives, the siblings defy their upbringing by connecting with Fillion Nichols, a punk hacker who, unbeknownst to them, is linked to their lives in shocking ways. Their encounter launches Fillion into a battle with his turbulent past as he urgently decodes the many secrets that bind them together, a necessity for each to survive.

Youth cultures clash when the high technology of the Anime Tech Movement collides with the Middle Ages in a quest for truth, unfolding a story rich in mystery, betrayal and love.

Thank you for the opportunity to post my young adult science fiction novel in this thread of fantastic reads!

Kirsten Feldman (goodreadscomkirsten_feldman) Hi all, I'm Kirsten, and I've been having so much fun with my first novel No Alligators in Sight No Alligators in Sight by Kirsten B. Feldman out in the world. Thanks to all who've ready and reviewed, and if you haven't yet, you know you want to ;~,

I've started the final revisions for my next book! It's untitled as yet and due out this summer. Tall, dark, dreadlocked, and named after that Potter guy, Harry has lived her whole sixteen years on the grounds of a prep school where her parents work and yearns to stretch her boundaries. Helping her do this are her enormous dog Frances Bean, her best friend since the sandbox who may want to be more, and her older brother who has his own issues. Ideas for titles come to mind?

message 48: by CeeCee (new)

CeeCee James Hi Everyone- My book is called Ghost No More. I honestly don't know if YA would like it, because it's a childhood/teen memoir. I'd love for it to be an encouragement to teens, and really anyone, who've had it rough, and need to know they aren't alone. My heart is to remind everyone- YOU MATTER! You are needed, you make a difference. Ghost No More: A Memoir
