Hello everyone. My first YA novel is out. It's about a transgender youth from a small town. She faces some unique challenges, but then again she has some unique abilities to. It's part YA, part coming out and part thriller. Check it out.

I have a dark fantasy teen book out right now. It is gritty and fast-paced and it's set among the fairies and the rural poor (sometimes called white trash, oh my!). If you are looking for an exciting read, this is it: It is not light and fluffy. If you are looking for "OMG, I met the cutest boy and I love him!" then I have some titles I will happily recommend, but this book is not that! :D However, my book will make you laugh and keep you hooked. ;)

Also, if you like holiday stories, I have a Christmas collection (also has Hanukkah and other holidays in it) that I'm happy to give away in exchange for an honest review: . It has some YA in it. The first story stars the characters of Troll Or Derby. The story Crazed in Christmas City by Jessica McHugh is set among teens in a mental hospital in the 1960s. I really, really liked that story. Hrm, what else...?

I wanted to let you know about the opportunity to download The Maltese Dreamer for free on Sunday and Monday of President's Day weekend (Feb 17 and 18.) Here’s the deal—I don’t know if it’s YA. A 16 year old wrote: I LOVED your book. The history and culture (especially because multiple tribes/social classes were mentioned) were fascinating. Sure, the school cad can't stop ogling her. Sure her Dad's still in Afghanistan. But what could go wrong on such a special night in a teen girl's life? Plenty! While most of the evening is a nightmare worth forgetting, Lexie finds that sometimes when you least expect it, life gives you memories to hold onto forever.

Ooops. Sorry for the confusion. It's a novel, no pictures inside just words.

The cover was created by a comic book illustrator and I was a bit worried people might think it's a graphic novel so in the blurb on amazon I put in capital letters that it isn't a graphic novel. In fact I've changed the cover on amazon to something a bit more novel looking rather than the cover you see on here.
