This book is somewhere between 12-20 years old (I read it as a teenager so probably closer to 15-20). The main girl is young and is the the oldest of a group of orphans. She and her Uncle(?) are bandits and that's how they make their living. They hold up the preacher (view spoiler)[(who used to be a gunslinger) (hide spoiler)] and the uncle is killed(?) and for some reason the preacher agrees to marry the girl. There are several younger children and they kind of run wild. I remember that he said thought that they looked like angels when they were clean.

Wasn't that the one about the girl who grew up with the orphans in a place like New York City, and they all went west? I think maybe her name was Rose? I thought the title was something with the word Rose in it too...
These books are too recent, but I'll mention them just in case you're interested.

Loving Glory ~ Geri Borcz
SHE CHALLENGED HIM TO A SHOWDOWN.
Five years after a shootout that left her injured and her uncle dead, Glory Carpenter has come back to Tombstone, Arizona, to reclaim the only home she's ever known. Only one thing stands in her way: a legendary gunslinger named Johnny Love who owns the other half of her family's ranch. Hard and handsome, Johnny is a man who lives by the draw, the kind of man Glory loves to hate. Until he makes a bid on her heart... and she can't turn away.
WOULD HE CHOOSE TO FIGHT... OR LOVE?
Five years ago, Glory accidentally took a bullet from Johnny's gun. Since then, he's been her secret benefactor, and now he's determined to find her a respectable husband. Except Johnny didn't count on his sudden desire for Glory, or his growing need to be by her side. But walking away from a fight in Tombstone won't be easy, especially when a friend named Wyatt Earp asks for his help. Unless the woman he loves can show him just how much he's gambling on his gun.
None of the suggestions are it but I remain hopeful. I'm thinking that this book would have been published in or before 1998 because almost all the books I read after age 15 were Scifi/Fantasy. I remembered that the book had a pretty, drawn cover with a flowering arch on it. Very pretty and pastel. There were no people on it. I also think that the girl and/or her family had some sort of floral name.
I ran across this when I was searching for gunslinger turned preacher.http://askville.amazon.com/remember-b...
I'm pretty sure that book is the same one that I am looking for. It does give me a little more information.
The only book I've been able to find with the heroine as Drew is Drew by Leigh Greenwood. If this isn't the book, I wonder if the heroines name is Dru?
I actually found this book a little while ago thanks to a suggestion on another site. They recommended using paperback swap to narrow it down by timeframe and keywords and it helped. The book wasWedding Bells. I'm so glad to get this off my mind.
