I'm Stephanie and I love to read New-Adult books but not only. I love YA and more adult books of every genre. But I think I have the best of time with New-Adult books these days. :)
I read books written bu Colleen Hoover, Tammara Webber, Jamie McGuire Abbi Glines, Jessica Sorensen - The Secret of Ella and Mica, Chelsea M. Cameron and so on. Whenever I see a book labelled New-Adult by readers I don't think twice and buy it. ;)
I'm also a writer - in my free time - of YA and New-Adult contemp romance. My first one should be published in 2013 by Anchor Group. I'm still disbelieved at the news!
I hope to discover many more New-Adult books readers. :)

It's nice to have a place to talk about new adult books. You'll be able to recommend new books to read. For example, I have yet to discover The Edge of Never.

Finally! :) someone made this group.
When I first heard of this genre, I loved the idea. Therefore, I naturally went in search of a Goodreads "New Adult" group. Alas, there was none. That's all changed now, though.
I believe my first New Adult book was "Going to Far" by Jennifer Echols, if that book is considered New Adult. I really liked it. After that, I have only read a few more New Adult books.
I've read"Beautiful Disaster", which I just liked. I've read Tina Reber's "Love" series, which I really liked. I loved the main characters and their relationships in that series.
I've got books by Abbi Glines, Coleen Hoover, and S. C. Stephens in my collection though, so I'll have read more soon.
Thanks for making the group.

My name is Ana, I read mainly YA and New Adult these days but I'll read pretty much anything I take a fancy to.
I've read S.C. Stephens, Abbi Glines, K.A. Linde, Tammara Webber, Nicole Williams, J.A. Redmerski and many more. I'm always looking for new books and authors to read so will be looking forward to try any new suggestions and give some in return :)

I love all the authors that you both mentioned :)

I love many authors including S.C. Stephens, K.A. Linde, Abbi Glines, Nyrae Dawn, and many, many more!
Thanks for creating this group, I am looking forward to more suggestions!

These days I'm finishing up my second masters degree at NYU in Ancient Near Eastern languages and literature. When I started, I thought I wanted to be a college librarian, but I have since realized that all I want to do is read NA fiction, not Babylonian tablets.
Anyway, I am constantly trolling Goodreads and Amazon for new (or old) new (i just realized I had to type new new) adult books to add to my now overwhelming to-read list. I have way too many books on my kindle, so maybe you all can help me focus on what to read next.
I love suggestions and talking books and other nerdy librarian things, so I am super glad there is a NA group now.
Nice to meet everyone. :)

Hi Megan, Ancient Near Eastern Languages sounds like a cool degree (also sounds very hard). Hopefully this group will help you find lots of non-ancient books to read :)

@Laura - Thanks and happy to be here! We love that our site helps out hungry NA readers like ourselves :)

Carmel, i love The Oppurtunist too! Its just so different, i dont think i have ever read another book like it :)

I love anything by Abbi Glines (anyone read Fallen Too Far yet?-it's amazing!), Tamara Webber, Steph Campbell, Nyrae Dawn (I loove Measuring Up), Tiffany King (some heavy issues, but really good stories). Always looking for friends :o) and book recommendations!

Aalia if you have read mainly YA books before then i would recommend reading some Abbi Glines books to get used to NA. Her books are a sort of older YA/NA so they would be the perfect place to start. In fact you should probably start with Breathe as it is a YA book and each book in the series increases in maturity level :)
Beth im glad you loved The Edge of Never, isnt it just amazing? Enjoy reading Beautifull Disaster, Jamie McGuire was one of the first New Adult authors and also one of the first to get published. Everyone should read her books as it is partially due to her that the catagory is doing so well :)
Andrea, i am a HUGE Abbi Glines fan so yes i have read Fallen Too Far. I may have bought it as soon as Abbi tweeted that it was live on Amazon :P
Glad you all like the group and thank you for joining :)
Hi Everyone I'm Alaina author and reader. I've read a few chick lit novels in the past...that were about 20-something but I haven't read any of the new books labeled as 'New Adult fiction" I have a long list of 'new adult' titles to try out. I wanted to join this group to stay in touch with lovers of this category of fiction and to keep abreast of the latest books to hit the scene!
I love to read in between writing and look forward to interacting with you lovely ladies!!

I have read many of the same authors I see above- Nyrae Dawn, Steph Campbell, Molly McAdams, Abbi Glines, Jamie McGuire, Tammara Webber, Jolene Perry, JA Redmerski and Cora Carmack, to name a few.
Reading is my escape- and I love recommendations and look forward to this group.

It's so great to see how NA is really growing.
Danya, I just saw the Group for your NA reading challenge. I'm so going to participate even if I'm not a book blogger. I'm in for over 30 NA books to read! ;)

Best NA books I read this year were Losing It, My Favorite Mistake, and of course My Paper Heart which is my own book, but it includes a southern boy and I love me a southern gentleman.

Magan, I've got your books on my to-read list. You can be sure I'll read them soon. ;)

I just debuted a 'mature' YA Fantasy Romance and put it under a new pen name (Terra Lorin), so that I could write stories without having to give the play-by-play sex scenes (I was getting exhausted doing it, quite frankly, lol). Unfortunately, I still had to put disclaimers on this new book, because I simply cannot refrain from writing about mature topics and inserting the smexy, sensual stuff. Argh, I'm hopeless! =P
So, I hope I'm now in the right group =)
I'm looking forward to offering my books as GIVEAWAYS and Read-to-Reviews, and getting to know more about what members here like, and want to read more about in this New Adult genre.

It is nice to meet you P.S. Its good to see authors in the group, it is probably the best way to make sure your book is found by the right audience. I have checked out the descriptions of your books and they do seem to fit well into the New Adult catagory. Im glad you have found the group :) I have also responded to your questions over in the Author Area folder :)
I know lots of authors love writing NA because they can write about what they want. They can have younger characters without having to make sure there are not any sex scenes even when the storyline calls for it. Authors seem to enjoy the freedom of NA.

EXACTLY!! You've made a LOT of authors happy with this NEW ADULT group! I finally feel I belong somewhere, haha.
Thanks again and let me know if you need ebook donations for contests this group sponsors. I'll be happy to contribute =)

No, I didn't participate, but sounded like fun. Good that you keep writing, Esther. Are you going to publish your story when you finish?
