What? The Cold, though things such as ice and snow are allowed as long as they figure out a way not to be cold....

You could say. These dresses are like, fitted . I hate people seeing my flipping girl things. It's a concert, not a fashion show. They're inconvineint, too. I fell on like four flights of stairs.

What? Alright people. I know we have a little petition thing going on here, but what I'd like you guys to do is sign a real petition that's for an important cause. You create a free account on this government-official site, and you click a button that signifies you signing a petition to make the Westboro Baptist church classified as a hate group. Let me show you some things that their members have done/ said.





Why? The Westboro Baptist Church has surpassed the point of free speech and has crossed into the realm of harassing citizens. They vocally promote hate against every demographic that they are not a part of. Their own website URL is made of obscenities that directly carve out a specific demographic: "www.godhatesfags.com". They even picket military funerals - when our soldiers and their families are at their lowest. The hatred is clear and they fit the definition given by the SPLC with no deviation. The only possible reason to exclude them would be the extent of the effect that they have had on society, but the legal "hate group" designation will prevent further damage and harassment before it has to happen.

God, I went on and read some of the blogs from that site. It just made me so.... Angry

Once again, I agree. Their beliefs and ways of telling others what they believe is sickening. I can't even begin to understand how somebody can be so ecstatic about the suffering of other innocent people. I often say that one of the reasons I'm not a big fan of religion is because people use it as an excuse to hurt others, and, well, this is the perfect example. It makes you wonder whether these people actually believe in these things, are just using those beliefs to make it right to hate people, or both.

It doesn't really matter whether or not I understand their thoughts though. No, I'm aware that I don't know about a whole bunch of things, and that just because I don't understand something doesn't make it evil. But it's one thing to believe something contrary to others; it's a whole different ballpark when you're using these beliefs to hurt people who are already grieving. It gets to a point where I don't need to understand their thoughts and true motivations behind saying and doing such terrible things- all I need to do is recognize that what they're doing is wrong and hurts other people.

Who knows how the WBC will escalate. I don't know for sure that they've ever been violent, but with that much hatred built up, and the excuse that their god would be happy if bad things happened to other people, there's definitely the potential to be dangerous here. That's why they need to be stopped. Not only should we not let their hateful beliefs be harmful to those who are already suffering, but we also need to stop this potential threat in its tracks.

There's no kind or loving way for statements like the ones they've made to come across. Insinuating that God hated those children because they were taught to be accepting is still both socially and morally unacceptable, even if they strongly feel that their words have merit behind them.

As me mum always told me: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."

It's kind of like a mob, too. Just one person feels vulnerable and singled out for wrong things that they've done, but if a whole bunch of people are doing wrong things, then it's harer to identify just one of them, and they feel safer. Like the internet. People say such horrible things on there, because nobody can ever figure out who they really are, and even if they do, there's nothing that can be done to stop them from saying such awful things.

Of course I'll sign.

And can we all do ourselves a favor and sign a petition, qny petition, against all guns except those designed for self defence only?

OMFG!!!!!!!! SOMEONE SAID THAT!!!!!???????? CLEARLY MENTALLY ILL, BECAUSE IF IT WOULD KEEP THOSE KIDS FROM DYING, I WOULD KILL MYSELF IN THE MOST PAINFUL WAY POSSIBLE.

Hate does not NEARLY describe what I feel for them.
I feel sorry for them at the very least.
Brainwashed and sociopathic, they believe that murders are wonderful as far as I can tell.

Why? Animal cruelty never ceases to shock and disturb me to the farthest extent. I am horrified to hear that a human being can do this to another living creature. Starving to death is an extremely painful way to go, and you feel every part of it up until your last moments. People are purposefully doing this to these poor, beautiful animals. And for what? Oh yeah, to continue making wine out of their bones, and not get punished for it.

We need to stop this. How many more tigers have to suffer before enough people realize what an important cause this is? Those were meant to be living their own normal lives in jungles, not laying on the cold ground of a farm, too weak to move! I urge you to take this petition seriously, so that way we can save the tigers before any more of them die from starvation.

@Chey Chey, Heh, well please don't think too highly of me, this is just stuff I stumble across on Tumblr and then get myself into. All I'm doing is simply not overlooking an important article as I'm scrolling through pages of internet-y-crud, which doesn't take a whole lot of work. I'm just glad that you guys are getting involved though and signing those petitions, every signature counts!
