I love both dogs and cats, but if I would choose one over the other, I would choose dogs. Cats are usually nice, but dogs are loyal, and if you give your heart to them, they'll give you yours.
Dogs, I guess but I don't particularly like animals. I know, blasphemy, a teen girl who doesn't like animals much.
FYI, I saw three doctors last week, and I'd rather not see a psychologist either
Aren't doctors great? (heavy sarcasm)
I prefer dogs over pretty much any type of animal. There are many reasons, many more than I can name. I will try to name as many as I can.
Reason one, dogs actually very helpful. They help more people than you could imagine. Some of these people include the blind, cops, firefighters, and often just regular people. Another reason that dogs are helpful is that that help people with their amazing sense of smell.
The next reason is that dogs are very loving and playful. You can play with your dog you both can get lots and lots of exercise. A dog is loving and will cuddle up with you, and a dog would be plenty of fun to play with. You will get lots of love from every dog you get.
Another reason is that dogs are hilarious. A dog can give you a very good, well wanted laugh. Your dog will run into walls, chase it's tail, jump around, and it will "dance". A dog will be good, energetic, and will make your life very exciting.
Another great thing about dogs is that dogs are very intelligent. They can be easily trained for many things. They can guide the blind, sniff out drugs for police officers, help a firefighter in a fire, and they usually aren't born with these talents, they have to be trained. Well, at least most of the time they aren't. They are easily potty trained, they can learn tricks, and they are taught what and what not to do.
I have had many dogs, which means I have many experiences. I had a dog named JJ, and we had a lot of fun. He was very playful and would pounce on you and lick you. With JJ tug-of-war was the greatest game. He would play anything.
JJ was very protective, he would never let anything hurt you. This is another great thing about dogs. If a robber broke into your house, a dog will bark to warn you. Nothing could ever hurt you when there is a dog in the house.
When you get a cat it will probably claw you and bite you, cats can be vicious. They may be a little bit nice, but most are very mean.
So after my many reasons I close with this, if you ever have to choose which animal you want, pick a dog!

@H99 Every cat I have had has tried to claw out my eyeballs
Oooh...well, I worked very hard on the dog speech above lol
Dogs! There are so... awwww! And so ooooooh!! And I think that my vocabulary is very painful... mmm... xD
some are...but some just gave me goosebumps especially those black skinny ones...they creep me out @.@
I'm not a great fan of pets but I'll go for dogs. The reasons are dogs are more faithful (I guess) and can keep a watch at home when people are away or asleep.
