I agree - a series of Persuasion would be high on my list. I read a news article from the BBC when Emma was on saying that they weren't planning any more JA adaptations for a while and they would look at other authors :(
noo!! thats so sad! they should consider them as the bicentenaries are coming up of them all - P&P next year. I saw something about a P&P in 2013!? anyone else heard about it, a bit off topic but anyway ;)
I just googled 'Pride & Prejudice 2013' and it came up with something about the zombie book being a movie! Oh no! *shakes her head in despair*
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You get the idea

Honestly, I can do with another adaptation of Pride and Prejudice for a few moons to come. I am contented with the Persuasion series but I would not mind a new film. I would really love to see a series for Northanger Abbey
I'm sick of them using and ruining P&P! Noone really knows the book, hasn't read the book, but everyone is talking about it -totally in a wrong way!I wish BBC would make a series of Mansfield Park. The movies haven't satisfied me. That thick book deserves a long and faithful adaptation.

He's still trying pretty hard to get me & my sis to read it. I can only imagine how unbearable it will be if they make a movie of it!! Gah!
Mansfield Park. The best version is form the 1980s.It needs a long series version that keeps true to the story.
We should! MP really needs a long series! And NA needs to be done more accurately (long film/series)
Mansfield Park definitely needs a more faithful adaptation! I agree that the 80's one is still the best though the Billie Piper version is amusing.I liked the latest version of Northanger Abbey, it's not far off the book at all, but then it tends to be my least favourite book so maybe I'm less critical of that one.
The zombie book... ughhh it's terrible, really really terrible. I actually have a hunch that it will be better as a movie though, a slightly camp, cheesy movie.
It's not too off the book no. Just too short!
80's MP was the most faithful - very faithful in fact but it needs updating. My favourite for that was 1999 :)
Thanks for joining by the way :)

Persuasion
Mansfield Park and
Northanger Abbey
(P&P can't be beaten and there has been a really good and recent Emma and S&S series :) )
And into a film should be...
(maybe) S&S and Emma? (but there are great ones)
P&P recent and good, Persuasion, NA and MP all done in 2007 and good :)
So really I think there needs to be some updated, longer series!
