❤️ Dorsey aka Wrath Lover Reviews ❤️ Do you have a favorite PRN Author or series??

❤️ Dorsey aka Wrath Lover Reviews ❤️ I personally LOVE the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R.Ward and the Night Huntress/NH World/Dark Prince (photo above) series by Jeaniene Frost.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I am reading Linda Jones which seems like a PRN Romance, so far I really like it. I also like Christine Feehan.

I have not read Christine Feehan but I know she is popular....and I was not even aware that LJ had books independent of LH.

My favorites are JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark, and Chirstine Feehan's Dark Carpathian series. I read many more and discovering new favorites. There are some that I have stop reading because they became repetitive and boring like Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Black.

Have you tried Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress or Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series Nadia??

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol Dorsey I told you already I love Cat and Bones and their spin offs. As for Midnight Breed I've read a few but I'm not into them as much I don't know why. I'm on like the 7th book, they're good but they seem a combination of BDB and Dark Carpathian series. And having read those books first and loved them Midnight Breed seemed a imitation of the two. So when I'm reading them its like been there done that kind of thing.

Well I had a "DUH moment"!! I did know that LOL.....Midnight Breed WAS a fav until I discovered so many others ;)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Since I was not familiar with Linda Jones I started reading her books. WOW I really love them. So far I have read Untouchable Untouchable (Emperor's Brides, #1) by Linda Winstead Jones , 22 Nights 22 Nights (Emperor's Brides, #2) by Linda Winstead Jones , and Bride by command Bride By Command (Emperor's Brides, #3) by Linda Winstead Jones . It is a triolgy and it is really great! LJ has become my new favorite

message 10: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Linda Winstead Jones has become my new favorite PRN author. I read 9 books in 12 days. It would have been faster, but the holidays slowed down my reading schedule. I just picked up The Magical Christmas Cat The Magical Christmas Cat (Includes Breeds, #17; Psy-Changeling, #3.5; Murphy Sisters, #2) by Lora Leigh , an anthology of four different authors. I also got Shadow Woman (LH latest). I am looking for her other books and will let you know what I think of them.

FYI: THe Emporor's Brides (Untouchable, 22 Nights, and Bride by Command) has a couple of Prequels The Sun witch, Moon Witch, and Star witch (Fyne Witches) and Prince of Magic, Prince of Fire, and Prince of Swords. That is the order in which you need to read them.

I have never heard of Lauren Dane. Any suggestions for the first book Russo?

message 14: by Valie (new)

Valie (valiemartin) | 80 comments I'm very picky about that genre ... very few series could have kept my attention:
JR Ward's BDB, Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed, Nalini Singh's Psy & Changelings & Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters.

message 15: by Tisha (new)

Tisha | 4 comments Kay Hooper's Bishop/FBI series is good. Love Christine Feehan. My favorite is Lora Leigh's Breeds.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 149 comments I like anything that Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle has written and have just about all of her books. She has a PNR series going-the Arcane Society-about people with various psychic powers which I really enjoy. I also like Dana Marie Bell's Halle Puma and Halle Shifters books and adore Shelly Laurenston's shifters. The WallflowerBear Necessities Pack ChallengeWhite Lies

I have read the first three books and enjoyed them.....they're not fav's but worth reading if your looking for a new PRN series.

message 24: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie | 17 comments I haven't read many PRN series except I fell into the one by Elizabeth Hunter, Elemental Mysteries, and fell in love with it.

message 25: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Since reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood I have to say it is a favorite of mine. I still like Christine Feehan's Dark series. I think they run neck and neck

message 26: by Sandra J (last edited Dec 31, 2013 05:20AM) (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 149 comments I've been on a Dana Marie Bell kick lately. I've read and reread both the Gray Court series (book #5 coming out in the next few months, I think) and the Maggie's Grove series (2 books out so far). The third Halle Shifter book should be out sometime soon, too. But other than these, I seem to be shifting over to contemporaries over PNR, at least for a while; though I intend to buy Christine Warrens' new one about a gargoyle.

message 27: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I haven't read them. I will have to look for them. I am always looking forward to reading new authros

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I am starting to read a book by Jim Butcher Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1) by Jim Butcher . It is about wizards, vampires and such. It is the first in the series and so far it is pretty good.

I've heard really great things about this series Dee, my GR's BFF LOVES this series!!

message 30: by AliciaJ (new)

AliciaJ I didn't see anyone mention Ilona Andrews and the "Magic" series. That's definitely become one of my all time faves. Also Nalini Singh's books-all of them! LOL That woman is a genius.

message 31: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments Paranormal is not a favorite of mine. I've read very little in that genre. Just recently finished reading Wicked Ride (Realm Enforcers, #1) by Rebecca Zanetti by Rebecca Zanetti. It is a fiery paranormal romantic-suspense.

My Review: Rebecca Zanetti

If your unfamiliar with the genre there are a few I can recommend when you feel like sinking your teeth into some vampire books...pun intended =)

Why Dorsey! I'm shocked! LOL I thought for sure you'd have read Ilona Andrews, she's very similar in style to Jeanine Frost. I'll have to remedy that for you!

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I still have to say Christine Feehan is one of my favorites. I think what I like about her is the characters are all strong individuals and also that when they meet the love of their life it is also the forever kind of love. I guess all romances are like that, but the way she writes it totally convinces me rather than some that are syrupy sweet) What I don't like about her is that her sex scenes go on for a chapter and sometimes a chapter and a half. I usually end up skipping those.

message 38: by Angel (new)

Angel Couper | 31 comments J.R Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood) and Christine Feehan are a couple favourites of mine.

message 39: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I also love J.R. Ward. Now that I work in a library I am reading so much more. As a book or DVD comes across my path I snag them. I am also picking them up for my family and friends. This is especially nice for the movies. As soon as we got the movie Gifted I grabbed it and had 3 weeks before I had to return it.

Cool. I have a summer job at a library so I basically grab more books than I can read. I also gets first dibs on new books.

message 41: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments For readers that is the best part of working in a library.

message 42: by AliciaJ (new)

AliciaJ Nobody's been here for a while, but I thought I'd add a new series that I just started. It's not really PNR, more UF, but I loved the story. Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire by Seanan McGuire

I have a feeling that a romance might start between the MC and one of the side characters, so I'm excited about that.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 149 comments I still love Shelly Laurenston and really enjoyed the Call of Crows series. Nalini's Archangel series is one of my top favorites, as well as the psy-changeling books. I haven't read much of Christine Feehan lately, I think the last book of hers I read was one of the leopard shifter books.

@Dee, I found Deborah Harkness last year and read the first two of her series, but the library hasn't got the third one in yet. I'm still waiting. Can't wait to get to it though, judging by the first two it's going to be great.

I'm listening to the third one now. I did the same and since it had been so long since I read the first two I had to relisten to it. Really good!

I have read all of Christine Feehan's books, except for her latest Covert Game (It hasn't come to the library yet.)

The Sisters of the Heart series has done a spin off again. Blythe's husband, Victor Prakenski (Czar), leads a motorcycle club that are the only surviving children from the worst school in Russia. This series is called the Torpedo Ink series. The first of this series is called Judgement Road

message 47: by Sandra J (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 149 comments I read Judgment Road (Torpedo Ink #1) by Christine Feehan and enjoyed it, though it was rather grim in spots. I'll certainly pick up the second in the series when it comes out.

message 48: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments That is the way I felt about Judgement Road.. I am looking forward to Covert Games. We haven't gotten it yet. Soon I hope.
