This is why 'think BEFORE you speak' goes beyond simply being good advice. Especially when one is a public figure or currently being televised. You just can't fix stupid...

Words fail me.

This whip nut judge needs to be removed from the bench and banned from law. " just *love* her comment that the accused is "not your typical sex offender". So what is a typical sex offender? A guy in a ski mask? A serial attacker who uses a weapon? Common! Really?

Even the 2x4 would not do in this case. This is like a checklist of what NOT to do! Demonize the victim? Check. Downplay the severity of the offense? Check. Hand down a sentence that is not only counterintuitive but downright offensive? Check.

I do NOT like the feeling I got. My first reaction was "I hope he gets HER next!".... but that is not me, and not right. I hope that the victim finds justice, the "judge" finds JUSTICE, and that the perp finds justice and does not repeat.

I heard yesterday that the judge is up for re-election and that she is currently unopposed, but that will likely change. The rapist has been assigned a new judge who is tougher. Sounds much better.
