Writers all around!:) discussion

Hi Guys, I'm new to writing stories and I was wondering if you have any tips on how to make a story exciting etc. Every time I write something it never works out.

Determine what you would love to read about then write it but make unusual things happen that no one would expect. You can even write a story then then have the climax be, that the whole story up to that one point was just a dream. You are the God.
