Daniel stumbled in groggily, he hadn't slept at all last night. He walked up to the cashier behind a chubby lady ordering a Caramel Latte, Does she really need the extra calories Daniel thought to himself. He walked up to the cashier and ordered, "Can I have a caramel macchiato?" that was Daniel's favorite. He looked down at the pretty employee working the cashier. "Hi" he said awkwardly. ((Sorry If I Just Jumped In, I Just Wanted To Rp))
Daniel looked at the name on her name tag, Lana . He was a big Lana Del Rey fan, Daniel wondered if she had any relation to the singer. "I'm Daniel, do you come here often" he said jokingly, that was the oldest line in the book. Daniel was always making corny jokes like that he found them hilarious. He flashed a soft smile, just wide enough to reveal his dimples. "How much do I owe you?"
((jumping in here, sorry))
Gabe rubbed his eyes. He'd got about 5 hours of sleep and school was exhausting. His limbs ached and he nodded off easily and despite what all the websites told him, he was getting a latte to keep alive.
Depsite his headphones being on, he could hear the guy in front of him trying to flirt with the cashier. Gabe had no interest in her after meeting Ever, but his ears perked up at an opportunity to help another guy out. He knew it was a bad idea--if anything, he'd make it worse for him. So, Gabe dissolved into some music while waiting--the Parachutes album made by Coldplay before they were famous. He didn't like it because it wasn't mainstream, he liked the untouched quality to it. Acoustic guitars, earthy singing--it had everything a good album should.

"I might start, since the staff is so welcoming" Daniel flashed a warm smile at Lana, as he pulled out his wallet, and gave her a ten. He took all her smiling as a sign that he was doing pretty well. "I never caught your name" he said curiously, even though he read hers right off her name tag. Daniel wondered if maybe this pretty girl would consider going on a date with him there was only one way to find out, "So what time do you get off work," he asked "maybe we can hang out or something." Daniel suggested.
He smiled at the way Lana bit her lip, Daniel thought it was cute. "Cool I'll just wait for you here then." he walked to a nearby table and sipped on his coffee. Daniel's day was starting off pretty well. He pulled out his phone, and started playing a game of Bejeweled Blitz to pass the time.
Daniel was really into his game of Bejeweled, and it usually took a lot to snap him out of it, but the sound of Lana's voice was like blue velvet. He looked up, at Lana's funny question. "No just the cute blond ones" he winked at her. Daniel finished his coffee, "So what school do you go to" he wanted to get know her. Most girls didn't really take any interest in him, and just wanted them, "All wrapped up at their doorstep" he had heard that one a lot. But this time he was determined to make an actual connection with this girl, no matter what. ((It's Okay Me And Daniel Will Be Here When You Get Back))
Daniel smirked at her charmer question, he definitely was a charmer. "I go there too," he looked at her curiously. He had never seen Lana around school, Daniel wondered what grade she was in. "I've never seen you around are you new?" he asked. Daniel looked at her with a smile new girls were always fun. Like babies naive to all the drama that happens, until they are fully acclimated. He mentally crossed his fingers hoping she'd be the baby of Riverview.
Amelia ran in, looking flustered. Her uniform looked rumpled and looked hastily put on, and her mossy green hair fared not much better. She slid behind the counter, fourteen minutes late for her shift.
"Are you liking it here?" Daniel asked. He knew she would probably want to be back in California. He would too, but his reasons were illegal. Daniel blushed at the thought of weed, "If you want maybe I can show you around the school sometime" Daniel looked at her with an awkward smile. His mind was going in different directions at the same time. ((I'm Back!!!))
Amelia ignored the conversation between the new girl, who seemed nice, and the guy, who was taking a long time to order coffee. She waved up the tired-looking lady with different colors of finger paint smeared on her skirt standing in line behind the guy. She took her order and then lost herself in working.
