Conan of Cimmeria discussion

Conan finds a kick ass sword and does battle. Is there anything as quintessentially Conan as that?

I really liked this story when I first read it, but I thought the finding the sword part was more akin to J.R.R. Tolkien than to the original Robert E. Howard stories.
Having said that, this volume Conan is still one of my favorites, both for this pastiche story and also because it has two REH favorites, "The Tower of the Elephant" and "Rogues in the House" which may be my favorite Conan/REH story of all time...
