J. (JPerryKelly) | 2 comments Hi everyone! Greetings from the author of "The Sibyl Reborn," a recent release in Kindle and 6X9" soft-cover that uses Roswell, alien abduction, quantum theory, metaphysics, and the legend of Cassandra, cursed prophetess of Troy, to weave a 616 page, multi-genre story that unearths the psychological roots of global warming. It's free today on Amazon (16Dec12) and I'd be honored if anyone would care to try it--and I'd love to have your feedback. My novel's sci-fi and fantasy elements are subtle (I try to introduce them and paranormal aspects such that they're matter-of-fact...as though they're unquestionably a normal, very real, and unappreciated aspect of our lives). Here's a link for any who'd like to check it out. Thanks! J. Kelly

J. (JPerryKelly) | 2 comments Greetings from a former surrogate White House 'stem cells' spokesperson (GW Bush) who wrote a novel that places his disturbing observations in a global warming context concerning social strategies that exploit human psychology to entrench vastly lucrative and powerful financial paradigms like coal, oil, and gas.

The novel, The Sibyl Reborn, pits the reincarnated Cassandra (former sibyl of the Trojan War who was 'cursed' to be never believed) against the CIA, Man's parent species, and the psychological roots of global warming denial in a 564 page adventure/thriller.

I believe my novel strikes at the heart of climate change denial and the sub-culture of antagonism toward anything green. For the next few days, Cloey of Cloey's book reviews is offering a 'giveaway' contest for a hardcopy of "The Sibyl Reborn." Its cover is also one of the entries in a 'best cover contest.' If you could visit her site and IF you think its cover deserves your vote, I'd appreciate your vote as winning the cover contest would allow TSR to remain highlighted on her site for the following month, which would increase its possible exposure (along with its message) to the reading public. Thank you! James

Adirondack Moments

Hello,

I am new in this group & hope that I fit in. Here is some background info.

I am retired from teaching forestry for 30 years at Paul Smith's College located in the Adirondacks near Lake Placid. Over the years my students often asked the question: what is good forest management? I changed the question to: what should the human relationship be with nature & have done a fair amount of research on this subject especially in the area of "environmental values & ethics."

My research eventually motivated me to write THE FORESTER. The main plot theme in my novel is "conflicting environmental values," which is presented & dramatized by various characters. While values was a major theme the story also developed as an adventure story & a love story & this helps to make the characters & plot more interesting & realistic.

My book page goes into more detail on THE FORESTER & you can read the 1st chapter on the Kindle for free.

At the end of my teaching career I published ADIRONDACK MOMENTS, a photo book of this incredible region.

I am interested in hearing from other folks about their views on environmental values & ethics & what they have read or written on this subject.

Please send me some words & questions.

James Kraus
