This is Riverview's local dinner. They serve a variety of delicious food. Some of the food are sandwiches, pasta, and pie. They also serve drinks.

Kalla got into the Diner and slipped into the back, she was late for work as usual and if her boss saw her she was so dead. She wrapped the apron around her waist and did up her hair.
Gabe's parking spot was taken today. Strange. He parked next to the car and sighed. He still had 1 semester of high school left' and working at a diner was his only extracurricular. He wished he'd have joined Theater or something while he still had time before. Maybe he'd have bigger aspirations than what he knew--food.
He punched his number into the register and waited for customers.

Les pulled her car into an empty slot. She turned off her engine and threw her keys back into her bag. She pushed her sunglasses up on top of her head. She turned and smiled at Ever, "Let's go. What're you gonna get?" She opened her car door and stepped out.((When we go to FMA, Les and Izzie will become models. Does Ever wanna be one too? Gene is gonna try to convince her no matter what. And Les and Izzie will support Gene trying to get Ever on board.))
((Yeah, but since she's shy, it'll take Ever a few trips to finally acquiesce. But that'd be amazing! =D Maybe if I'm too impatient, I'll make her agree the first time around, but that's for me to know and you to find out, so KEEP READING THE STORY! XD ))
"Hmmm, I feel like having one of their grilled chicken sandwiches, with the bread roasted! I love those ((I really do love those))! Plus, I'll have a nice blueberry smoothie right now, I'm feeling a little hot." Ever listed, walking up behind Les and falling in step beside her. As the two walked and together pushed open the doors, they were greeted with the delicious smell of greasy food. Or at least, it was delicious for other people. Ever preferred the natural, healthy food they sold here.

((Hahaha okay. xD))Les laughed, "Okay." She walked up to the counter and ordered, "We'll have 1 lemonade, 1 blueberry smoothie, and a grilled chicken sandwich with the bread roasted please." She pulled out her white wallet which looked like a small clutch purse. from her bag. "It's on me," she smiled at Ever.
"No, it's not, Les!" she growled at her, trying to snatch her wallet away. Even though Les was fast, and definitely more athletic than she was, Ever managed to grab her wallet. She then faced the cashier, and as he stated his price, she pulled out the money from Les's wallet and handed it to him.
"It's on me," she said teasingly as she looked at Les. She poked her tongue out at her best friend, and handed her the now less weighty wallet.
((Did I mention Ever is a bit of a prankster when she breaks through the shy spell with people. She's often not comfortable around people and rarely lets anyone in, but she's very bold with those she's familiar with. Should I add that in the character sketch?))

((haha yep. Add that. :P))"Hahaha," she burst into laughter. "Thank you for giving my wallet back." She put the wallet back in her bag. She tapped her fingers on the counter waiting for her lemonade.
Ever then turned back to the cashier. Though she had refused to look up at him before, she couldn't help looking up when she felt an electric current course through her as he handed her the food.
"Hey don't I know you?" she asked him, and as recognition set in, she said, "You're in my English class, plus my Add Maths and Biology!"
She then blushed and wanted the ground to swallow her up, because the guy was looking at her weird, and her shy nature came back to the fore. How could she talk to such a hottie so...openly???
((Save me, Sam, Aelia isn't here to man Gabe, so you have to pull me out, since he can't talk!))

Les bit her lips to stop from smiling. "Come on, let's go Ever. We gotta go pick up Izzie. See ya around Gabe!" Les said softly pushing Ever out with her hand on Ever's back. She waved at Gabe and walked out with her arm swung over Ever's shoulders.Once out the door, she took her lemonade from Ever. "Someone's got a little crush," she teased sticking her tongue out at Ever.
"Woah." Gabe gasped under his breath. She was pretty. Of course there were hot girls, girls who could turn him on like a lightswitch, but she was beautiful, genuinely.
"GABE! GET YOUR GRUBBY HANDS OVER HERE AND WAIT SOME TABLES!"
The cook. Laird. He was notorious for his temper.
"Yes, sir."

God, tonight was tough. He had hundreds of families, groups of teenagers, and drunk college students to deal with. Now that all was finished, he sighed agaist the register in relief--then causing the thing to beep loudly and push out the cash box like an idiot. Coins flew everywhere
"S---!" He cursed as he hopped down to pick up the coins. "Crap, crap, crap."

Ever walked out with Les, her face flushed in embarrasment. "Shut up, I do not! I mean, he was hot, but that's about it! And I don't know how I even got the guts to talkt to him! Jesus!"she buried her head in her hands as she climbed into Les's car.
"Let's go," she grumbled. Maybe she could come back and meet 'Gabe' later. Of course, he wouldn't know she'd come specifically for him tonight

He knew her name. Ever. He'd seen her only in qucik glances when he wasn't dozing off in class. Thank god for his intelligence--if it wasn't for that, he'd have failed all his tests.
Ever was...a student, to say the least. Gabe had only seen her looking at books or heard about her intellectual excursions with Model UN and so forth. She worked at the library, he overheard before. Gabe never went to the library. His parents simply did not have the time. So, Gabe read whatever was avaliable, from textbooks to magazine articles.
He didn't even know where the library was.

"Haha! Sure," Les laughed She climbed in and started the engine. She was about to pull out but stopped herself. "Wait a sec. I'll be right back," she said, jumping out of the car and running back inside. She went over to the counter where Gabe stood. "Hey. Could we have your number in case you ever wanted to hang?" she asked. She hoped she didn't sound like she was the one who like him because she so didn't.
We?
Gabe looked down, smiled mischeviously, and said, "Sorry sweetcheeks--I'm not a guy for threesomes."
The horror on Les' face cause him to change in an instant. He scribbled on a napkin his # and wrote, "to Ever. I know you. Sort of. Get to know me?"
He sort of regretted it after handing Les the paper.

"God no! I'm here for Ever!" Les said completely horrified. "Bye," she said angrily. She grabbed the napkin and stormed off back to Ever. That was horrible and completely embarrassing. She climbed back into the car and gave Ever the napkin. "Here," she said in a hard voice. She pulled out and drove fast to Izzie. She hoped Izzie was at least having a good day.
Somewhere, in the rusty "how-to-talk-to-girls" wheels of Gabe's brain, something started to turn them slowly. Maybe I shouldn't have joked like that... he thought to himself.
Oh, crap. He thought. D*mm*t, I probably pissed her friend off a lot. I have to find her and apologize. God, Ever probably thinks I'm a creep. Ugh. Why can't I keep my smart mouth shut?
Lucky for Gabe, he had 30 minutes left until shift was over. He watched the clock as the place was silent as a stone. Usually, he took over drink mixing during later night shifts like this one. He proceeded to open a new can of whipped cream and, like a five year old, squirt his mouth full.
((Oh, no, he's enjoying some fresh Reddi Whip while he watches college stoners stare at their cold food.
He checked the clock. About 15 minutes left. Damn. ((Sorry, boys are boys. I might use some sort of swears.)) The last 15 were the slowest.
He had eaten about half the can of whipped cream at this point. Some call it gross--Gabe calls it food.
Ever walked into the Diner late at night, 10;30 about. There was only an old man propped up on a stool at the bar. Besides him, she couldn't see anyone. Deciding that Gabe had probably left and someone else's night shift had started, she resigned herself to seeing him some other day. Slumping into a chair, she waited for someone to come take he order. She really needed something to drown her disappointment. Maybe she should call Gabe's number...? No, that'd be too bold, she decided.
She was here. He saw her. Suddenly, his heart sped and he walked to her seat at the counter, handing her a menu.
What to say, what to say, oh god, what the heck do I say?
"Hey, sorry about my jackass comment to your friend back there...I'm terrible at making jokes.

Ever had been hopelessly lost in her thoughts when suddenly a menu landed in front of her. She looked up quickly and saw Gabe looming above her. She had a sharp intake of breath and her eyes widened. For God's sake, even her heart sped up!
"What are you doing here?" she blurted. Realizing her rash mistake, a flush spread throughout her face as she dropped her gaze.

"Um, I work here...?" He said. "Oh! I mean, I take as many shifts as possible. I have to save for college."
"Oh, um, I actually knew that, I meant that I thought...since I couldn't see you...maybe you'd left somehow..." Ever trailed off, unsure of what to say. Great, now I'm here and I feel like such a dud.
"Look, I want you to know what you're getting yourself into." Gabe sighed. "I'm slowly recovering from depression. Last year I tried to kill myself. If you can't handle that, you might like to leave. If you haven't noticed, I'm quite the trainwreck socially."
"Um...okay..." Ever awkwardly trailed. "And what does that have to do with me? I'm here for something to munch on...You know, a late night snack?"
((Don't rush their relationship! Not yet! He doesn't know she's here for him! Plus, I'm gonna be offline for a bit now))
((Again, the man's half crazy. He pronably would tell the barista at starbucks this. And plus he's high on adrenaline and sleep deprivation))
"Oh sh*t, sorry. I'm a mess. Look, I haven't slept in about 18 hours, I'm leaving for the night." Gabe took his apron off and walked to the exit. "Ever? I don't really know why you're here, but if the phone number's any indication, we should get together sometime. Look, let's forget my little breakdown here. Meet me tomorrow?"

((Aelia, just tell me by where and when by dropping off a comment at my apartment. I'm leaving the Diner now, and the day is finished, it's now the morning of the next day))
((no, I have no idea who he is. I was on tumblr while writing my bio and when I refreshed, that picture came up, and I knew it was perfect))
"I'll find you. Just wait."
He left that night, home to do homework and other things. Ever never left his head

((Wow i missed everything!))Kalla finished cleaning the tables and setting new napkins into there mini holders. Refilling the ketchhup and everything she had to do for the night. Her boss didn't notice she was late, thank god for that. She started to take her arpon off.
((Awww....I've developed a crush on the celeb, and I don;t ever knw who he is! Yup, Kass, you missed quite a lot!))
Venus Jones pushed opened the door to the Local Diner, ready for her first day on the job, excited yet slightly nervous; this was a new life for her, after leaving her parents to live with her half-brother; Richard. She was mighty proud of herself. Starting a new slate was what she needed and wanted and she intended to get it.
