Heh. If you can just nip out and get a million people to buy my books then I'll quit. Until then I need the money. Besides, I like being a research scientist.

I suggested the books to my friend, Zoe, and she's now on KoT and still loving it, and my other friend is almost finished with PoT...once I found out that my brother's friend had also read them, I just had to talk to her.
I also have to mention that I have a tendency to underline, highlight, scribble, write on and fold entire pages in half in my books when I find a part I thoroughly enjoyed, a part that fascinated me in some way, raised an interesting point, had a good message or caused a powerful emotion (after reading one of Mark Lawrence's blog posts, I realised I was definitely a 'Characterophile' and a 'Beautician'...). Some find it unique, but most just find it annoying, especially when they want to borrow a book of mine...
In PoT, no page is without some sort of mark in it, (literally all of the pages, I've checked several times) and I'm fairly certain the same can be said for KoT. I just loved every single page of both of the books.
One element of PoT and KoT that I particularly enjoy is Makin and Jorg's relationship - their friendship is interesting, especially in KoT (though there was that dungeon scene toward the end of PoT that especially tugged on my heart) with the discussions they have and Makin's loyalty being all the more clear through his actions.
I cannot wait to see how this turns out for Makin in Emperor...I'm sort of scared, to be honest. Makin is one of my favourite characters, but he's also a 'follower' of Jorg, ('That's why I'll follow you, Prince. Wherever it takes us.' -PoT, pg.29) and in the synopsis for Emperor...'follow me and I'll break your heart'. I'm worried for Makin!
I found the addition of Miana to be interesting, too. She had a strategic and intelligent mind, and her comments regarding her dowry were witty and amusing. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing her in EoT, too.
Unfortunately, though, when the brothers discuss spiders and one particular Brother eating them raw and not completely dead at times, I looked over to see a huge, furry spider on my wall. Impeccable timing. I live 'Down Under', so I'm just going to assume it was poisonous, haha.
I absolutely loved both of the books and cannot wait until August for Emperor. I'm probably going to end up hiding in my room with EoT... reading and re-reading.
