The School discussion

Boys dorm

Blake walked in, the place empty. He shrugged, setting his backpack and suitcase down.

Then Chris walk in and set his back pack and training bag down. (Looks at Blake) Hey.

Jace walked into the dorm and tossed his bag onto an empty bed, stopping to look at the two guys already in the room. "Hey."

Ken walked into the room and said " hey I'm new here"

Jace looked over his shoulder at the guy who had just walked in and nodded. "Sup?"

My name is ken

"Right..I'm Jace."

Ken walked over to an empty bed and started unpacking. He stopped when he saw the picture of his mom. A tear fell.

He quickly looked away, setting his own things down. He doubted this Ken guy would want him making any comments. Besides, Jace had noticed it was a picture of a woman. He assumed it to be the boy's mother, and therefore couldn't make a comment anyway.

Ken set down the picture of his mom. She died of cancer last year.

"Everything alright?" Jace asked a bit awkwardly.

" yea just remembering my mom. she died last year off cancer. My dad ran off and i moved here and have to go to this school. "

"Ah. I know how it feels not to have a mom," he responded.

" what's your story " he said as he unpacked the rest of his bag

"Uh. My uh. My mom was killed. When I was young," Jace said in broken sentences.

" i feel you "

He wanted to tell him that no, he didn't feel him. His mom wasn't murdered. Well, not technically anyway. He wanted to tell him that he didn't understand, but Jace knew that in a sense, yeah he did. I mean, he had lost his mom too. Jace merely nodded in response.

" is there somewhere we can pick up chicks here"

Jace laughed and shrugged. "You could try in class."

Ken laughed " I'll pass "

"That's all I've got," Jace said with a shrug, grinning. "You could always try going to the park or something."

" yea i guess "

He shrugged again and sat on his bed. His dog came up beside him and he smiled, petting him.

" what's his name "

He looked over at Ken, still smiling. "Koejack."

" nice name "

He chuckled. "Thanks. Most people think it's weird."
