Hogwarts has been a school for young witches and wizards for hundreds of years. Voldemort is no more it is fifty years after the defeat of Voldemort and the fabled Harry Potter is in History books. The families do still exist but it is unknown if they will be in any more prophecies as a new darkness rises to power.
