In the beginning of this cycle, a man named Elm and his wife Emer were the chosen humans. They made the Forgopath, Aeter, and he inherited immunity from the book, since all of the planets had aligned, thus stemming his true name from all of the planets, making 2 of the three requirements null and void. He turned out to be much too powerful for his own good, and accidentally destroying the world around him. Elm created a ring, and threw it at Aeter, who mistakenly crushed it. The ring sucked up Aeter's powers, and split into four quadrants. The energy waves from the ring split Aeter into four aspects of himself. The four Forgopaths forged each quadrant into one weapon, and Elm and Emer had their son Saladin, the first seer.
