I love fantasy and science fiction or anything that is a little strange. I'm up to my ears in reality all day, when I escape into a book I like to go somewhere different with magic, or gods, or scary monsters, or spaceships, or quests, or aliens -- and most importantly with heroes. All of the strange and wondrous things that happen in these other worlds tend to bring out the best and worst in people. I love to see how the characters will rise to the occasion.

I agree, I love books on fantasy and magical realism. Anything out of the ordinary is for me. I'm a huge fan of Haruki Murakami at the moment.

I really enjoy science fiction, or fantasy, because the rules aren't really set. a book's far less predictable when even gravity isn't guaranteed. Roger Zelazny pulls this genre off very well-I encourage you all to check him out.
