Since naming your favorite leaves out a lot of good works I thought we should expand our answers a bit.
Some of my favorites:
The Girl with the Pearl Earring
Rebecca
Pride and Prejudice (BBC)
Gone with the Wind
The Harry Potter series starting with #3 on up
Jane Eyre (Joan Fontaine/Orson Welles)
