I love this challenge! I think I'll do the 50 states first, then work on 50 countries. And love the open deadline -- without that, I wouldn't have been able to participate. I'll comment later with my list.
Embrace, and the entire Gryphon Series that it's a part of takes place in Gainseboro, TN.

I did put an end date in the "challenge" because you have to put a date, but it's really far into the future, so it essentially has no date.

2. What if a book is set in more than a few states? Would we just pick a place they've been to and put it down?

Diana Peterfreund stated that her For Darkness Shows the Stars is set in a futuristic New Zealand. Her Killer Unicorn books are set in Italy, so I suppose there's a few more.
