This is where a lot of Lifted meeting are held.

Tess laid in her plush fourposter bed, praising Jesus it was summer and there was no school.

Tess rolled over and grabbed her phone to type out a quick 'hey' to Kate.

This is Bear.

Tess unlocked the front door and made a beeline for the kitchen. She hugged Bear and said, "You must be starving!" She poured some food for him and introduced the others to him. "This is my puppy, Bear." She beamed proudly.

Kate smiles at Bear and pets him.

Mikey and Ash hang back.

Bear waddled over to stand in front of the boys. He didn't growl or wag his tail or tilt his head to the side. He simply stared.

Ash and Mikey both look at him, "Uh...." Mikey stays, "Hi."

Tess laughed and scratched the dog's neck roughly. "He can't understand you," she stage whispered.

Mikey pets his head softly.

Bear seemed to like him well enough since his tail started wagging. Tess smiled. "Now that he isn't dying of hunger," she said, "I can watch America's Next Top Model!"

All three groan, "Why not supernatural?!"

"I dunno what that is," Tess said. Her face was blank in honesty.

They all facepalm.

She gave the remote to Kate. "Well now I feel stupid," she said. "Go on. Turn on whatever it is you want to watch." She sat Indian-style on the couch.

Kate smiles but throws it to Ash. Ash catches it and switches straight to the news, and sure enough, their score was on the tube.

That caught Tess's attention. "Huh," she said. "A million dollars was just stolen. Truly unfortunate."

Ash breaks out laughing, "You're welcome!"

Kate and Mikey both laugh.

Mikey high fives his siblings and goes to Tess for one.

Tess looked at his hand, hesitating for a split-second before high-fiving him. That was just something Tess Layne didn't do. And yet, she had. Just this once.

Mikey looks at her, but didn't say anything and turned to the TV.

We have no fotage.... the cameras were somehow turned off using the computer! The owner says.

Ash smiles and stays in the corner.

"Mysterious, eh?" Tess said. She smiled brilliantly and told Ash, "Excellent."

Ash smiles smally, "It was nothing.... another Lifted could have done it too...."

Tess flicked his shoulder. "Accept my compliment, peasant," she said. "They don't roll around often."

Ash smiles a bit more, but not a full smile, no one has ever gotten that before.

Kate smiles at him, "You did do a good job."

Mikey laughs, "No one could have done that besides you.

"So what's this show supposedly better than Tyra Banks?" Tess asked. "And by the by, I doubt it."

The three roll their eyes. ((THey're definatly siblings))

"Wow," Tess said, raising her eyebrows. "I got an in sync eye roll from all of you. I must be pretty special."

They laugh, Ash more quiet then the others.

Tess's eyes flitted over to Ash. She stared at him for a moment before turning to the screen.

Ash looks back at her, feeling smaller and smaller with every second of the stare. When she turns away he sinks to the ground.

Bear put his head in Tess's lap and she absentmindedly stroked his fur.

Kate looks at Ash and frowns a bit and sits next to him.

Mikey looks around, "Got any good music? You know, Skillet, MCR, One Republic, Maroon 5...." He lists off.

Tess said, "Um, One Replublic, Ed Sheeran, and One Direction." That last one was sure to get another eye roll.

Kate does a whoop at One Direction.

Ash smiles at her.

Mikey does a small smile, "Um.... One direction.... has.... a few good songs...."

Tess smiled poked Mikey. "Do we have a secret directioner on our hands?" she teased.

Mikey looks at her, "uh...."

"I bet you write fanfic," Tess said. She looked at him intently. "Definitely."

Mikey shakes his head, "I have no time to do that!"

Tess shook her head. "You write those fanfics, gross sometimes by the by," she said. "End of story, good bye, the end. Now turn to page three hundred an ninety-four." All Harry Potter quotes.

He looks at her confused, "Uhh....?"

Tess sighed. "But you are obviously not a Pott Head, so you dunno any of those quotes," she guessed. "From Harry Potter. The greatest franchise ever. I daresay it surpasses that of Tyra Banks."

Mikey shakes his head, not understanding a word, "Do you have a bass?"

"Upstairs," Tess said. "It's my dad's, but it's in my room."

"Can I play it?" Mikey asks.

"Um, yeah," Tess said. "Sure."

The music floated downstairs from Tess's room. She, Kate, and Ash went up. When he finished, Tess smiled. "That was actually pretty cool," she said.

Mikey looks at her, "Thanks, it'd be better with an amp though...."

Kate smiles at her brother, "Nice Mikey."

Ash nods.
