What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hi. If i remember correctly, the title of this book is Kidnapped. Problem is, there are thousands of books with this title.

The story plot goes like this:
This boy from a rich family met his friend on his way home. His bicycle light is spoiled. A van drives up asking if he wants a lift. After double checking by asking for a neighbor's name, he got on, but was immediately silenced and almost passed out from lack of air. His friend was just outside the door.

The main character is claustrophobic. He was forced into a small box and smuggled into a boat. He was on sea with the kidnappers while waiting for the ransom. Once on the boat, the kidnappers forced him to eat an overdose of sleeping pills. He slept over 24 hours.

The kidnappers requested his friend to bring the ransom. When he was returned, he had nightmares while living at his school's dorm.

In the end, he was shot in the butt when he met one of his kidnappers at a stable.

This is 'Prove Yourself A Hero' by K.M.Peyton.His name was Jonathan. His friend had sprained his ankle, and had to bring the ransom on horseback. The man who arrived to pick it up was also on horseback.

One of my favorite authors! There are several books about this character.
