It seems strange to see the word "former" in front of Stanley Schmidt's title. (I just read his "Time for a Change" editorial yesterday in this month's Analog, which I guess was his last as editor.)

Stan accounts for well over 50% of my publications in science fiction. To say he'll be missed is an understatement.
Oh Gawd. I didn't realize he was retiring, but may be I'm just choosing to refuse to believe it....like when Gardner left...
Trevor Quachri is doing an excellent job as Stan's successor.
