thanks! I have it 80% read so I can finish it more quickly. Getting done with some "clean up" books I have started earlier.

Chel | 187 comments I finished Anna Karenina after reading it in fits and starts over the past three years. It was well written but I didn't like the characters too much except for Levin and Kitty.
Next is:
2. USA Moon Palace

Chel | 187 comments I finished USA: Moon Palace. I am doing a side tour to read another Paul Auster novel then will decide later what to read next.

Chel | 187 comments I am almost done with the book I decided on. It is:

3. Serbia Garden, Ashes

I like it alot, it is not for everybody with it's young narrator's stream of consciousness style. I just love it though. No spoilers, they are fleeing Nazi aggression and his dad is quite a bit off his rocker. I think it is great in it's detail, some humor, and heartfeltedness.

Chel | 187 comments I finished Garden, Ashes. Now it is on to:

4. England: A Question of Upbringing

by Anthony Powell, the first book of the larger A Dance to the Music of Time book set. I am excited about this one because I have waited a long time to read it. I put off the endeavor as the complete book is so enormous, one of the longest books in the English language. It is very highly rated and is easier to do when split into its twelve components with other books read in between them.

Chel | 187 comments I finished #4. This is one of 12 volumes that make up A Dance to the Music of Time: 1st Movement
which is in four "movements" and I may read a volume every other read with another book in between them to finish it this year as I am enjoying it (it is terribly witty and dry) and it is on another list of mine. This may slow up my 52 reads this year, we'll see. Next, I am reading
5. Argentina: Kiss of the Spider Woman. It is good so far.

Chel | 187 comments I finished Kiss of the Spider Woman. Now I will read the 2nd of 12 volumes of A Dance to the Music of Time which I am very excited about and perhaps a Japanese novel by Shuaku Endo after that. Spider Woman was pretty good and enjoyable, just not great in my opinion.
