Anybody else get an entire season of a show on DVD or iTunes, and then not be able to stop watching it? I'm currently hooked on 'Prison Break.' So many other things I should be doing, but it's so addictive and good.

I was that way with the first season of 'Damages'. I had never even seen the show until I won the Season 1 DVDs at a charity raffle and then I got caught up in it and had to see how it all turned out (I've never watched any of the other seasons, though).

All the seasons of Damages are so good. That's another one of my favorites. Now that it's on DirectTV instead of basic cable, it's even edgier. I think it's up to season 5 now, though I'm not sure. I always wait for the DVD to come out, then I watch the previous season.
Damages is a great show. I have Roku and all the episodes are on Netflix instant. This way, I can watch it on my TV. Prison Break is on there as well.
Have to say that one of my favorite shows was Warehouse 13. Watched the first three seasons. Can't wait to see the 4th.

I got hooked on Justified on DVD from the library - just got season three and can't wait to watch it (though it does make me anxious to know season four is starting shortly on tv).
We did with Law & Order: SVU. Just waiting for new episodes. We also did it with Hereos. We were sad when it wasn't re-signed on and left you hanging.

Really like Prison Break, too, and am on the waiting list to get the DVDs from the library!

Battlestar Gallactica.. loved it, we couldn't put them down and watched all the seasons. Also felt like that watching Game of Thrones, Season 1.
Criminal minds! Something about serial killers makes my heart start pounding. I've finished two seasons in 4 days, but then again I really love the team. I also like The Mentalist and Castle because they are sort of funny, loved Heroes (the first tv series that I fell in love with), and Lie To Me. Too bad they canceled the last one, it was definitely something to look forward too.

I remember when series 2 of 24 came out on DVD. Truth be told, I don't remember doing much else at the time!
My particular faves right now (my wife's, too) are Castle, the new Hawaii 5-0, Psych, Burn Notice, and White Collar. As you can tell, we like crime/suspense shows with a lighter touch. Among older shows, we've fallen in love with The Wire (not so light). Also big fans of New Tricks, the Brit show.
Hia few new favourites, especially as fast paced, action packed series go, these are great, Person Of Interest, Nikita, Arrow and Hawaii-Five-O as mentioned above.
Nikita and Hawaii-Five-O are now on their third series, the other two filmed first series of Arrow, and now making the second series of Person Of Interest(the star of this series would have made a good Jack Reacher).
Old favourites include , the best series ever, 24, then X Files, Lost and Flash Forward.
Also do watch Criminal Minds, Rookie Blue and Blue Bloods.
A film buff, television buff, music lover, and book addict. And film writer. Please visit my website for more on the films www.thestarsphotos.com

Ana, Criminal Minds is scary, but love the Mentalist and Castle. Good thing I have a DVR so I don't miss any of these two.
I'm seriously hooked on Homeland, Justified and Sons of Anarchy. I've got my eyes on new series that will start in few days called The Following with Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy:
"A brilliant and charismatic, yet psychotic serial killer communicates with other active serial killers and activates a cult of believers following his every command. " - like I can resist that blurb...

My wife and I got hooked on The Good Wife this year. We watched the first 3 seasons in 2 weeks. Now we have to wait for each episode. So frustrating :)

Ana: If you like serial killer stories, with a profiler and a romance interest, try my COMMON ENEMY and take a luxury cruise with murder for fame, murder for revenge and murder just for thye fun of it. Richard
I just recently started on Castle, CSI:NY, Elementary. I like New Tricks. And I think one of the PBS channels is bringing back Wire in the Blood, hope they bring back New Tricks, too.
The Mentalist, Castle, NCIS, NCIS:LA, Elementary and Person of Interest as far as mystery/thrillers. Big Bang is my fave comedy.
Loved season 1 of the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries, an Aussie series. Love Walking Dead, Lost Girl, Silent Witness, Scott and Bailey, Silk, Big Bang Theory, Person of Interest...
I like Castle and Big Bang, and some of Criminal Minds, but my favorite show is Leverage. So sad that they have cancelled it - and ironic that it just won the People's Choice Award for cable drama! I also love Sherlock on PBS - can't wait for the next installment.I tend to watch shows for 3-4 years and then drop off. Castle, Criminal Minds, White Collar and Burn Notice all engaged me for a while, but now are hit-or-miss for me.
I also love BBC's Sherlock.Another British TV drama I'm watching is George Gently, based on the books by Alan Hunter. Starring Martin Shaw and Lee Ingleby.
And, I've just "discovered" Doctor Who. I'm currently watching the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant.
Has anyone seen the Wallander series starring Kenneth Branagh? I've placed a hold for Season One at my library. It looks very good.
A few years ago I 'discovered' Buffy the Vampire Slayer and watched it obsessively. I started dreaming about being chased by vampires! For those who love Warehouse 13, give A Town Like Eureka a go. It has some crossovers with W13 and is a fun show.
Crime wise I tend to like English series the best. Wallander with Branagh is good but can be a bit slow at times. I also had to get past it being set in Sweden (I think) but the actors sounding so English. Favourite crime shows: Poirot, Wire in the Blood, Sherlock, Midsomer Murders, Waking the Dead, George Gently, Heartbeat..... Well the list goes on. Also love Castle and The Mentalist. Oh and Psych.
Other faves: Downton Abbey, most English bonnet dramas, A Game of Thrones, Firefly (sadly only one season made), Red Dwarf, Vicar of Dibley, Doctor Who (not a big fan of Matt Smith though) and property/renovation shows.
Not sure about watching Elementary - something not quite right about Watson being female.
I started watching George Gently on Netflix streaming - really enjoyed the episodes I watched. I wish they (BBC?) had made more episodes with Martin Shaw as Adam Dalgliesh (PD James) mysteries. I really liked him as Adam, as he seemed to hit that brooding scholarly component of Adam's personality - I could see him as a poet.I really enjoy Branagh as Wallander, but don't watch it if you're depressed! It's a little ... bleak, but it's very good.
I also really like Poirot and I hope they are doing more Case Histories on PBS/BBC, as I enjoyed that one. Midsomer Murders is terrific, though it does amaze me how many "people" have died in that county during the course of the show! The actor who played Barnaby said that his theory is that Barnaby was actually a serial killer who is finally caught because he is the only one left!
I never really got into The Mentalist - I watched one, but the main guy just bugged me for some reason.
Richard David wrote: "Ana: If you like serial killer stories, with a profiler and a romance interest, try my COMMON ENEMY and take a luxury cruise with murder for fame, murder for revenge and murder just for thye fun of it. Richard "Hey! Thank you for the suggestion! I am finishing Criminal Minds today so I have something to look forward to! :D ^^
I'm loving Castle, Justified, Blue Bloods, Hawaii 5 0, SVU, and a few others, all of which aren't on over here at the minute. I know here in the UK, Scott and Bailey, New Tricks and George Gently are all back this year with new series. Amanda
Susan wrote: "I started watching George Gently on Netflix streaming - really enjoyed the episodes I watched. I wish they (BBC?) had made more episodes with Martin Shaw as Adam Dalgliesh (PD James) mysteries. I r..."It's a wonder there's anybody alive in Midsomer. Great show, though.
A couple series Im hooked on is the "Take the Monkeys and Run" by Karen Cantwell and also the Hunger Games. I have just started reading the first book
I thought I had replied in this post, but I don't see my addition.I am obsessed with The Walking Dead and Supernatural. I have gotten my friends to become obsessed with them too so I can talk to someone about them.
Two weekends in a row I have had a girlfriend over to have TWD marathons and last night she went home and couldn't stop and was up very late watching them on her laptop! Too funny ;)
I'm hooked on a few shows. The Mentalist. Bones. Hawaii Five 0. Person of Interest. NCIS LA, and Elementary.
I've added 'The Americans' to my list of must-sees, but I find the Russian spy thing less intriguing than the dynamics of their arranged and 'just for show' marriage.
Ye should check out the following. Fantastic series. Also whitechapel (Uk series) Series 4 due back soon - excellent
