Madison Matlock | 1 comments Hey guys, I was looking for a good read, and zombies is one of my big things at the moment.

I'm looking for a book with action, adventure, and a little romance.

Any suggestions? :)

Allison Hewitt is Trapped is one of the better zombie novels I've read in the last year and should have all the components you are looking for. Rise Again is interesting but won't have the romance factor.

I would avoid Monster Island.

Amanda | 48 comments Dead Tropics was quite good and has a little bit of everything.

Daniel Williams (Daniel_Williams) | 27 comments If you're interested in reading Mace of the Apocalypse I could gift you a copy. It's got everything you're looking for...

*Suzy (ereaderuser)* (suzyereaderuser) Dead Living by Glenn Bullion might work for you. Dead Living by Glenn Bullion

Beth (YA Books Central) (bethyabookscentral) | 2 comments I would recommend the As The World Dies Trilogy by Rhiannon Frater!! One of my FAVORITES!!!! Siege (As The World Dies, #3) by Rhiannon Frater The First Days (As the World Dies, #1) by Rhiannon Frater

Mikhail Lerma (MLerma) | 38 comments I would refer to this discussion for a good zombie book.

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9...

Also, I'd like to suggest my book, Z Plan:Blood on the Sand
Blood on the Sand (Z Plan #1) by Mikhail Lerma

It's the first book in my zombie series that's in progress. It's not necessarily romantic, but the series is leading into that. It's also more of an emotional thriller than your typical 'slash em up' zombie book.

Whatever you choose to read..Happy Reading!

Saturnfx | 14 comments Best to start with the Zombie Fallout series by Mark Tufo.
Humorous, well fleshed out characters, written mostly in a journal style of basically a family going through a zed apoc.
Though it isn't over the top on supernatural stuff, there is some aspects in there (not the outbreak..the outbreak is your typical manmade issue, but lets say, a zombie outbreak uncovers a few other things)..

Romance3 is difficult to find in the genre for some reason (I know I would be bonking my brains out in any apoc setting considering tomorrow may never come sort of thing, but meh, whatever.)...but this is a family, and the hubby does love his wife..and is constantly erm..a guy, so ya..theres a bit..nothing adult rated though in those regards.

And it is certainly one hell of an adventure that's being painted..sometimes the zed apoc we all know and love, sometimes terrifying circumstances, and always with some sarcastic humor tucked away (its how the protagonist deals with the world.)

Not the best writing, but curiously enough, that actually helps in the believability considering its journal sort of feel to the book. Your average person is not a acclaimed novelist afterall.

I would love to read this one. I'm not really interested in much romance in my Zombie books. The adventure is what is fun. Cheers, J

Christine Verstraete (christine_verstraete) | 40 comments Just a really good zombie story - Dead of Night, Jonathan Maberry. His YA zombies have some "romance" too... Forgot which was first, Rot & Ruin? or Death and Decay?

message 18: by Tammy K. (new)

Tammy K. (rambles_of_a_reader) I have three favorite zombie books that I recommend
The first one, well I did not give it five stars because of the typos and such but its a really good story Year 50 by Geoff Bluske Year 50. I am sorta upset at the author right now because I have a strong craving to read more and he hasn't bothered to get to writing Year 51 ! Grrr!
Next one is a five star from me and it is
Out of Darkness (The Starborn Saga, #1) by Jason D. Morrow Out of Darkness (The Starborn Saga, #1). But I love everything that author writes. Jason can write no wrong. (Clearly, Tammy can)
And finally out of my top picks I choose Dead Things by Meredith Russell that is a MM Romance but if you read my review I liked the story for the apocalypse side of the story. I felt the romance was written in a way that was kinda flat.

Josh Hilden (josh_hilden) I will selfishly recommend my series.
