Ok....I have some theories:
- the lavender blanket was a gift from Olivia. - why Caleb did not find Olivia when she left to Texas ? Because he asked his brother to help him since he is a detective but he hates Caleb because he is the favorite so when he found Olivia with Tunner , Seth showed it to Caleb that Olivia moved on.... That is why Caleb gave up Olivia and went back to Leah... Remember when Leah says that Caleb was with amnesia for almost a year after Olivia left. - I think the baby is not Caleb but Seth's because Caleb says that the baby come early but in reality she did not because she was already pregnant when she went to see him at his hotel.... - and I think that was Noah that went to Caleb to have a " talk" because Noah knows their history and he upset his wife with his gift.

I think after Rome, Olivia let Caleb go. I'm thinking Caleb bought the lavender blanket because it reminded him of Olivia's purple room. It seems that everything Caleb does is tied up to some Olivia memory.

Caleb was mad when Olivia left for Texas. I think he knew where she went but because he was angry, he didn't try to go after her. Caleb is quite the arrogant guy. I don't think he had it in him to beg.

The pregnancy timeline doesn't make much sense to me at this point but I do think the baby is Seth's.

It's become apparent to me after DR that Caleb is just a bit more crazier about Olivia than she with him. And I couldn't believe how much he just didn't hide the fact from Leah.

I agree, but I don't (I know that doesn't make sense) Olivia had no other choice but to accept the fact that Caleb chose to stay with Leah, so she gets on with her life and decided to move on with Noah, who she does love and is in love with.

Caleb was never able to move on, even though he made every attempt. He never actually fell "in love" with Leah, but had did love her and he felt responsible for her. It's that sense of responsibility that made him stay with her in during her trial and her pregancy. Once the baby was born, his sense of responsibilty switched to his child. Leah being a bad parent only makes Caleb more aware of his bad choice regarding Leah.

OMG I didn't think about Caleb sending Seth to go find Olivia.....great catch there! And I thought immediately that the lavender blanket was from Olivia because of the paint spot reminder. :)

I have some questions and would like to hear your theories.

Caleb tells Leah that he hired Olivia to be her attorney because Caleb was angry at Olivia. He says he is still angry at Olivia. Is he still angry at her for:
1. Leaving him the first and second time;
2. Not telling him about Leah intentionally getting pregnant to trap him;
3. Marrying Noah & not waiting for Caleb - unrealistic and irrational though considering Caleb chose Leah in Rome after Olivia's confession of her love for him; or
4. Something happened to Olivia after she moved to Texas: was she pregnant with Caleb's child and gave it away? Anything seems possible with this book right?

I think Cammie told Caleb about what happened to Olivia. She's supposed to have a big mouth in TO...

I just needed to vocalize my thoughts and questions... My mind is still festering with Caleb & Olivia's what ifs... Need book 3 ASAP to regain my sanity ;)

Caleb is angry at Olivia for leaving him the second time and running away after the camping trip. He spent a year looking for her and then gave up and married the biggest bitch known to man...yeah, he is pissed. He is still angry because she came to Rome too late to tell him she loved him still. She was about three months too late. If she had said something the night he came to her before the verdict or in the months that he had left Leah and waited for O, he wouldn't have been conned into sleeping with Leah on his business trip and therefore getting her "pregnant". The still angry is a clue that O was too late by Rome.
In my opinion and my interpretation of the timeline, he stays with Leah in Rome only because she is pregnant at that point and once Olivia finds out, she marries Noah. See the extensive posts on the timeline discussion regarding Rome.
I also had the theory that Olivia gave up a baby in Texas, but I think she got together with Turner too quickly for that to be possible. She would have had to have the baby 9 months after moving, since she moved the same day or next day after having sex with Caleb. I'm pretty sure Leah found her rather quickly and set up the whole Turner crap. There is a reference in the book how long they were together and it seemed to be early winter time (Super Bowl ticket incentive) her first year there.

I still want to know if he was messing around behind Olivia's back at work. I didn't get a straight answer and I kind of want to know the details. I think I read an interview with Caleb where he danced around the question too.

I think that Olivia says that she met Turner during the bar exam, so that means she met him at least 2 years after moving... Could still leave time for a baby or pregnancy, but you would think that should have been mentioned by now. I thought the lack of protection showed how much both of them wanted to be connected to each other in the future.

Also I understand the Caleb was angry, but he needs to take ownership of his choices, too.... Why is it Olivia's fault about waiting? Caleb may have left Leah, but he passively waits for Olivia to come to him even though she seems to have no knowledge of the split.
I think the issue may be that we see things through Olivia's eyes in TO, and she was always too ready to take the blame and mentally flog herself for being evil.Caleb's misdeeds and game playing ways were hidden at first glance. His choices muted by Olivia loud and insistent belittling of herself.

My point is that there were mistakes to go around, and with Caleb's comment that he is still angry with Olivia, he has not really held up mirror in the blame/ self reflection department. For me, there is a need for Caleb to grow up a little before he is ready/worthy of the woman Olivia has become.

After reading the Thief teaser, I think maybe Caleb gave up on going after Olivia while she was in Texas because Cammie may have told him that she was happy.

She started walking away, but I grabbed her wrist. “You said that to me once before, do you remember?”

Her face paled. She yanked her arm away.

And he may also be angry with her if he found out that Leah planned the pregnancy to trap him and Olivia knew but didn't tell him. Again the Thief teaser suggests that Caleb may find out since he was suspicious when he spoke to Cammie.

Oooo...Aamirah I love it. Caleb figures out that Cammie and Olivia knew about Leah's trap and that is why he is mad! Genius. That would explain why he is mad about more than just Olivia leaving him, twice, when he hasn't been perfect either.

Yeh and in Rome he wasn't angry with Olivia. At the mall with Cammie (while Leah was pregnant), he didn't seem mad either when he was asking about her.

Then Leah tells him that she planned the pregnancy in the boat scene. And after that when he returns to the house to pick up some things, he says that he's angry at Olivia. So I gather that he figures out why Cammie was being evasive when he mentioned that Leah had a miscarriage.

The months where he left leah after the trial, I don't remember him contacting her or waiting for her. Could you please point that out ?
