Mary Findley | 14 comments I have almost 60 reviews on Amazon, now, but I'll just share one for now, for My Emily, by Matt Patterson.
We have a daughter who had Meningitis at age 9 months. So it was easy to relate to this story of a sick child. Matt Patterson's perspective as a father is both strong and tender, just as it should be. And that's what makes it so hard, to convey how much needed this story is, when it was so hard to read, and even harder to get around to writing the review. God spared our daughter and she is a lovely Special Ed teacher, hearing-impaired but perfect in our eyes. God didn't let Matt keep his precious daughter, but instead gave him a wealth of comfort and sweetness to share with all of us. However it falls out when a child is sick, God is good.

Cliff Ball (cliffball) | 2 comments I just received a review from LaTawnia Kintz for Times of Trial: a Christian End Times novel

http://latawniakreviews.blogspot.com/...

‘Times of Trial can be read as a stand-alone or with Times of Trouble. Like Times of Trouble, Times of Trial is about the end-times and persecution of Christians in the United States.

The president of the United States is a hater of Christians and Jews and will stop at nothing to make sure he remains the president. He and his equally power hungry goons implement Agenda 21. (Now if you don’t know anything about Agenda 21 – which is very real check it out here. There are also lots of other listings about it.)

Cliff has again written a very insightful novel involving end-time prophecy and current events. This is a very easy book to read but don’t let the ease of it detract you from the reality of what could actually take place.

All right, now I have a couple of critiques… though Cliff has done better in filling in the plot with detail, his dialog is still a bit choppy and stilted. I only say this, because I know how difficult it is to write dialog. So Cliff, this is just to encourage you to write your dialog more fluidly. That is probably the only thing I can think of that may be a distraction for the reader.

I appreciate Cliff’s dedication to get his work out for the public to read. Since he is a self-publisher, it can be a bit harder to get the word out. So I am more than thrilled to review for him.

Thank you Cliff for providing me with a free ebook copy for me to review.”

This review is from Independent Authors:

"I was intrigued by the words Christian Fiction so I took a second look at this book. I then read the book description and reviews and decided this was definitely a buy. I will say now- it was worth every cent.

If you like suspenseful reads, you’ll like this book. The story centers around an FBI agent and his family. A suspenseful turn of events unfolds and the agent’s youngest child, a newborn, is abducted. The kidnapper obviously knew the security camera layout as the only photographic lead they have is a fuzzy partial shot from the back.

We feel the agent’s frustration as well as his personal anguish as he searches for his missing child. As I read I got the feeling, due to several things that occurred, that something was simmering just below the surface. I had to hold myself back from skipping ahead in the book.

Adding to the story is the addition of martial arts as the agent smartly decides to teach his children how to protect themselves. This schooling is spread strategically throughout the story and fits into the plot seamlessly.

There is a consistent feed of crucial information throughout the story regarding the abducted baby but I don’t reveal spoilers. When you read this book, I think you’ll see the value of the information about the abducted baby.

I’m intentionally leaving out pertinent information but I think you’ll thank me later for doing so. This story really drew me in and later when things were revealed I had chills as I read the parts.

I didn’t realize this until later but despite an abduction, a foiled robbery attempt (no spoilers you’ll get to that part soon enough when you read this book) and a lot of action – I don’t recall seeing one swear word which – well, was refreshing.

All in all, this was a beyond excellent read and I highly recommend it."
