Shadow Takers discussion
Inside the Castle

Courtyard
Skye's eyes stared off into the distance, as she sat on the edge of the fountain. It was quiet, just as she liked it most of the time. She never came her often since most people were here. Most people as in mainly humans sometimes when they were on break or so. The light breeze was soft against her face, her hair blowing lightly in the air.
November silently swept into the Courtyard, a deadly aura settling in the area. She saw the other Supernatural, her sleek black eyes unwavering and her lips in a solemn line. No sound camme from the Shadow Taker as she sat on wooden bench.
Skye's turquoise eyes looked up to see November, feeling her presence. She wasn't afraid of the Shadow Takers specifically, as in shrinking. But she did listen to them, and respected them. She did her best to acknowledge November without talking at least, just nodding, and looking distantly into the sky, thinking what it would be if only she got her wings back.
November returned the nod and watched the Fallen Angel, her eyes portraying no sign of any emotion. She held a raven black Scythe in one hand, and she was waiting for a Human to foolishly stroll into the Courtyard, so she could draw some blood. She ran a finger alog the sleek blade of the Scythe, it's dark color gleaming proudly in the light.
Skye's eyes drifted to November's blade. No one often dared to mess with Shadow Takers, especially humans. A human might appear soon enough, curiously stumbling into the courtyard, to only get attacked by November. Humans were clumsy, misfortuned humans as she thought so herself. Although she had been one, and is bad enough as one.

Beck held his shoulder as he queitly walked into the courtyard. He had stopped his arm bleeding but his shoulder still was. He walked over to a free bench on the other side of the fountain and sat there, wincing quietly at the pain.
Skye's gaze lifted to Beck, studying him. "Humans," she sighed before stretching out herself, standing up. Her arms were crossed, just thinking for a while. Before looking at Beck again. "You should leave before you get killed by November sooner or alter. Especially with that injury." she said coolly to Beck, her eyes hidden by her sunglasses as always, before leaving off to somewhere else.
November looked up at the sound of footsteps, as a Mortal entered the courtyard. He had several wounds in his one arm, and he looked to be losing a lot of blood. And he was new, too. If he weren't so new, November would have tortured him right on the spot. But considering he was so wounded, she wouldn't risk killing a Human servant they had just recruited. Lucky she was in a good mood that day. She gave him the stink eye, annoyed with his presence. He deemed useless at the moment, for he wouldn't be able to do much with that arm.
Juliette walked slowly to the courtyard. It was very rare a Human like her had idle time on her hands, but she did right now and this was where she was. Maybe she should be working. Doing extra? Maybe her jobs weren't even done right. She had convince herself that she would just walk through here, that was all. No breaks. She was wearing simple jeans, maybe a little bit tighter than necessary, but never mind that, and an oversized green T-shirt that was hanging off one shoulder. She blew her soft brown bangs that were hanging in her face out and tucked them behind her ear. No matter how hard she tried, those bags never stayed in her side braid. "As long as you love me, we could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke," the extremely old song was something her mother used to sing to her right before bed.
Collette heard a voice singing softly, an ancient song. She approached the voice and found a quite innocent-looking girl walking around. She adjusted her bright blue jacket over her bare arms and smiled pleasantly at the girl, pulling her hair up into a nice high-ponytail. "Hello! I'm Collette. Have we met?" she asked, extending a hand to shake.
November scowled as more Humans came. How ignorant Mortals could be, did they not notice the Shadow Taker watching them? Three Humans hanging about, doing nothing but socialize with eachother. Maybe she should kill them then and there, but it would be terrible to waste these weak, enslaved humans when she could get something out of the scrawny things. "Should you three being doing something?" November's deadly voice hissed, as she stood. An air of authority came around, as she waited for the Humans' responses. How clumsy were these things, to stumble into an area occupied by a Shadow Taker such as herself?
She began to respont, but clamped her mouth shut. The singing instantly stopped at the deadly sound of the Shadow Taker herself. Julliette felt the color drain from her face instantly an she started to get dizzy. As gosh, this was it. This was the end. She was going To be killed, and that was only if he was lucky. She made eyecontact with Collette then her eyes snapped to the Shadow Taker. "Y-yes ma'am. Just cutting through. I beg your pardon," she attempted to say, but it came out in a shaky whisper. "We're going r-right now, ma'am."
Collette nodded along to the other girl in fear. She didn't really trust herself to speak, knowing her big mouth would spurt out some sort of brash comment that'd be a one-way ticket to hell. Stupid Supernaturals, spoiling everything. She started backing away slowly, but not sneakily.
November chuckled darkly, shaking her head. "I'm afraid it's not going to be that easy, Mortal," She said in a menacing purr. "We'll see how useful you can be." Clapping her hands sharply only once, she grinned a terrible grin. "Don't try to leave, if you want it easy on yourself. Now, what should I do with you..." November thought aloud.
Now the full body trembling started. Juliette was terrified, that much was obvious. She looked at the Shadow Taker with green eyes as big as saucers. She couldn't reply, she was shaking too hard. This would be the end. A week here and she would be killed. Maybe following in Rebecka's footsteps. No, Rebecka would've gone out with a bang. Juliette starte braiding the tail if her braid, but dropped it and held her hands behind her back. She managed to squeak out one simple, "yes, ma'am."
"Oh, I know," November sneered, dropping her black Scythe. The weapon made a loud clang as it contacted the cement ground, and November stepped forward, grabbing Julliette by the girl's arms. She lifted her with near ease, and walked over to the beautiful fountain, a cruel grin on her lips. She's been waiting for a Mortal to stumble into her clutches this fine day, to torment viciously.
Collette shivered, hoping Juliette wouldn't be hurt too bad. She also hoped she wouldn't be hurt, either. She looked up at the ShadowTaker with a look of fear, with of course the indisguisible mark of masked hate. She stopped backing away, knowing she would probably be next on November's list.

Beck watched, wishing he could help. Why was he so useless? Why couldnt he stand up to the shadow taker? Because he was shit scared of her. He started to bandage up the wound on his shoulder with something his old freind gave him. The bleeding soon stopped and slowly the colour came back into his face. He got up slowly and looked at the scene, trying to think up an excuse to help her.
Collette watched the boy get up, seeming as if he were going to do something to interlude the torture of Juliette. she frowned at first, then went back to neutral/fearhate look. There was no standing up to Shadow Takers, unless you had a definite death wish.
November felt eyes on her, feeling it tickle the back of her neck like needles. She dropped Julliette on the ground, and knelt beside the Human. She snatched the girl's brown hair up, hoping to send searing pain throughout the girl's scalp. And then she dunked the girl's head under the water of the fountain. When she brought the girl's head up again, Julliette was still alive. And November threw the girl back on the ground. "Who's next?"

He looked at the shadow taker, fear filling his eyes. He decided the easiest thing for him to do would be to try and queitly sneak out. He turned and almost silently walked away, looking down, trying to regulate his breathing and his heartrate. His hands were shaking slightly in pain.

((Ermergersh sorry guys! I had a few games we didn't get back home from until 11 and SO much homework this week. Anywas? I'm on now :)))Juliette flinched atthe clang of the scythe. If she thought she was trembling then, she was now shaking violently. She didn't struggle when she was grabbed, no she just went limp. If she didn't fight maybe it she wouldn't die. Her face was pale and it looked like she had the potential to pass out, she didn't but she wished she did. She kept her mouth shut, but a sharp cry of pain was still audible when her hair was yanked. It was a pretty awful feeling. She had felt worse, but it was searing never the less. Sh. Thought that was it, but she should hav known better. She nearly lost it when her head was dunked. Juliette had been traumatized of swimming and water since age five when she jumped in a river and nearly drowned. She went rigid and started shaking even worse, but still she did not struggle. Just when she thought he was about to die, she was painfully jerked up and literally thrown to the ground. It took her a few terrified seconds to get her senses before standing up and quickly backing away.
November scowled and her eyes moved to Beck. "I see somebody's already gotten you. Lucky I'm not ina killing mood," She leaned into his face, her breath hot on his face. "Maybe later," She whispered low. And with a snicker, she pulled away and turned to Collette. "And what would you to go through, girly?" November grinned maliciously, walked toward the girl.

Beck looked at her, his face almost instantly showed releif and slight happines, allthough he didnt let the second emotion slip from his face. He still wished he could help the others, but his older, dead, sisters word srung in his ears. The words she etched into his brain everyday, for all of his life.Do whatever it takes to survive. Forget everybody else, its you who you should worry about. Just survive. Dont be a hero, dont give your life or even risk it for others. Just survive.
Collette tripped backwards and swore in the quietest whisper she could muster. It was a difference from her usual yelling voice. She looked up at the ShadowTaker with wide green eyes, knowing she couldn't outwit or outfight the girl, aiming for one of the only other tactics she knew- innocence within submissive fear. "P-please..." she said, crudely masking her smite with hard-to-forge weakness.
November smirked, and swept up Collette off the ground. "Oh, sweetheart - There's no use to beg. Haven't you learned that by now?" She taunted, and suddenly threw the mortal into one of the cement pillars.
Collette frowned, knowing her plan had been futile. She opened her mouth to deliver a vulgar insult, but it changed into a scream and a muffled grunt of pain as she found herself flying through the air at an insane speed. She didn't bother trying to shut up and save her dignity before she slammed into the cold, hard cement. She heard-and felt- a loud crack and fell to the ground, the tears in her eyes real this time.
November did not pity the girl. She walked to Collette and grabbed her again, slamming her into the pillar two more times before dropping her to the ground. November stood straighter and looked down on the girl. Her gaze drifted toward the other girl who was drenched in water, and then to the boy who had a wounded arm. "See what happens when you walk past a Shadow Taker and not acknowledge them? Pitifully foolish mortals," She said, shaking her head in mock dissaproval.
Renee knew she should probably being doing something more productive with this little time. She had just finished cleaning the stairs and railings of the foyer. The whole time she had been unobserved and no Supernaturals came around to find her. However her heart was still pulsing fairly quickly as she peeked into the courtyard. It wasn't empty but she figured she could simply go around the edges supported. And that's what she began to do, slipping into the open area with an unheard sigh as it wasn't dark and wane like most of the castle. It made her feel a tad better.
Koda was shoved into the courtyard by a guard. He did retaliate or fight back, just went along with it. He was told to play in the courtyard for a while and entertain the beings there. The boy didn't mind the order, since he loved playing music for people, he just wished they weren't so forceful. Their orders were vague and Koda didn't understand what exactly they wanted him to do, but he'd just go along with it. The guard left and the musician put the guitar strap around his shoulder before siting on the edge of the fountain there. He looked around to see only a few people here, but it would have to do. Koda started to play the guitar strings and eventually sing. "Well I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
Baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor (you know)
I used to live alone before I knew you
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
and love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
Maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah..." Koda sang with passion, like he was praying during the hallelujahs.
((The song is Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley))
((I love that song ^^)) Renee would've kept moving if it hadn't been for the guards, Koda, and his singing. She had a passion of her own for singing that only her and her brother really knew about. Because she didn't like singing around the castle, she was far to fearful if the Supernaturals as what they're reaction would be. Renee stopped in a patch of deep shade though she could be seen if you looked and turned her eyes towards the boy an his singing. Had the guards purposely out him here? Why? Oh there was still much of the ways of the castle and such that she didn't understand but she hasn't seen this before. She was quiet as she watched him and listened, the sing unknown to her ears for she had never had time to really listen to much music.
Koda looked around the courtyard to see most of the people just ignoring him and he sighed. He was anticipating this. His fingers started moving up and down the fret board as he played an intricate riff to go with the beauty of the courtyard. If people wanted to relax, he'd play them relaxing music. While he played, Koda looked over to see a girl residing softly in the shadows. He couldn't see her too well, but could see here bright eyes clearly.
Renee found that his eyes were on her all of a sudden and she parted her lips, unsure what to do she took a step away further into the shady shadows. She felt more comfortable in the shadows almost, which was strange because she tried to get out of them as often as she could. The only shadows she could tolerate was the library for ... Reasons. She gulped softly and bit her bottom lip, debating with herself. She wanted to leave as get his gaze off of her because seeing him look at her made her feel ... Well not Invisalign enough but then again he sang so beautifully, and she never got to hear people sing.
November turned away from the girl whom she had just slammed into the wall several times and dropped, snapping her gaze to the other Humans. It was like they wanted to be killed. Her dark gaze set on the boy's guitar, as he sung. She could hear the passion in his voice. It was a nice song. But it wasn't exactly... What she thought of as entertaining. Then he began playig relaxing music. Did he not see what played before him? November raised an eyebrow. Humans could be so ignorant and clueless sometimes.
Koda noticed the girl back away and frowned. Not exactly what he wanted. His head turned to see another person glaring at him, and he raised his eye brows. This person seemed to be mauling someone, so he assumed this being was a supernatural. She didn't seem too pleased. He swallowed a lump in his throat. If only he had.... The boy thought of an idea and went over to a guard and asked for something. The guard nodded and got him an electric guitar with an amp.
November crossed her arms, her eyes unblinking as she watched. She knew there was a girl hiding in the shadows, from watching her out of the cornwr of her eye a moment ago.
"Ms. Shadow Taker, I feel like you didn't like that last song. I'm here to entertain you, so tell me, would you like me to ramp things up a bit?" Koda said running the guitar right. The guards pushed another guy into the courtyard, he had a couple of drums with him and set it. Usually Koda would have a guitarist and a bassist for this song, but this would have to do.
One side of November's lips turned up to reveal a half smirk, her drk eyes half open. "Let's see what you've got," She dared. She leaned against one of the cement pillars, relaxing a bit to listen to what the mortal had to play.
Koda smirked before quickly getting himself ready. He started with a guitar riff. "Click clack shimmer 'n shine
Everybody's in a line now
Dressed up to the nines now baby
Silver, shiny, sexy, it's love and
The music's playing so loud
Disco balls and big crowds baby
Her eyes, they tell me what I need to know
Your touch tells me where I need to go
My lead will make you wanna get so close"
He let the last not ring before dancing around the courtyard with his guitar.
"Well I like to dance
So if you do just get on the floor
Forget the romance
This is what music was created for
So find someone hot" He moved toward November and winked.
"And if you're not it doesn't matter
Baby take what you got and
Just go dancing you'll feel better
I like to dance
I like to dance dance dance dance
Lovesick electric sex thoughts
are flying all around me
He said, she said "let's leave" baby
Fashion lives alive in her dress
and her eyes'll never leave her
The song creates a fever baby"
Koda moved towards November again and sang closer to her.
"Her eyes, they tell me what I need to know
Your touch tells me where I need to go
My lead will make you wanna get so close"
He started to dance around the courtyard again.
"Well I like to dance
So if you do just get on the floor
Forget the romance
This is what music was created for
So find someone hot
And if you're not it doesn't matter
Baby take what you got and
Just go dancing you'll feel better
Lovesick, lovesick, ELECTRIC! "
He started a crazy guitar solo, standing on the edge of the fountain. At the end he flipped off the edge and landed on on his feet. He let the guitar swing to his side as he clapped and sang the next part.
"Well I like to dance
So if you do just get on the floor
Forget the romance
This is what music was created for
So find someone hot
And if you're not it doesn't matter
Baby take what you got and
Just go dancing you'll feel better
Lovesick, lovesick, ELECTRIC!" He ended by falling to his kness. After a few moments, he moved the hair out of his face and looked to November for her reaction, panting heavily.
November raised her eyebrows, now both corners of her mouth curved into a grin. "Now I like that much better," She clapped her hands three times. Her eyes danced with satisfaction and her arms had moved to her hips. "You're actually pretty good for a mortal," She praised, though it wasn't as sincere as it might've sounded.
"I'm glad you liked it My lady, that is what I am here for." He grinned and took a bow. Koda looked her over. "Is there any song you'd like me to play for you?" The boy played a little riff as he waited for her answer.
((Bro I saw them in concert, that's one of my favorite songs ^^)) Renee stayed in the shadows, putting a hand over her lips to hold back a small giggle. She wasnt exactly laughing at him, more at how ... well she hadnt ever seen such confidence in one of her kind up against a Shadow Taker before, then again he shouldn't worry because he had a talent that would entertain anyone.
Koda's gaze glanced over to Renee who was smiling. He winked at her, happy that his music could make people smile, even in this dreary place. Sure he had to obey these Shadow Takers, but he got to do what he loved, and even got complimented by a powerful being such as a Shadow Taker. She probably was sincere about it, but it was a start.
November smirked, shifting her weight from one leg to the other. "How about a 21st Century song, maybe Numb by Linkin Park?" She suggested, cocking her head to the side slightly, crossing her arms across her chest.
